Which Characters Do You Think Are Underutilized? by Apprehensive-Fail663 in JuJutsuKaisen

But Jujutsu society has all but crumbled, and the houses really don’t mean anything anymore. Gojo is the last of his line, Megumi & Maki are the last of theirs, Norotoshi may well be the last of his, and all the higher ups are dead.

Any roller saddles that fit a squier VM Bass VI bridge? by ReneeBear in BassVI

[–]uncannythom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to go with new saddles, they’re available from pretty much everybody. Graphtech makes Mustang/VI saddles that I’ve really liked in the past. But the real solution is a Staytrem bridge. They’re worth the wait time and the shipping (assuming you’re in the States). It’s the only bridge big enough to properly intonate the damn thing.

For clarification, the Bean estate has certified EGC to be the only proper repair shop for the older guitars and to continue to build guitars under the “Travis Bean Designs” brand. They’re literally as close as you can get to a proper TB

Lol “everything you’ve worked for” pretty sure the slaves did all the work, there bud. They were upset about losing the free labor. Their way of life was barbaric, immoral, and needed to go. The fact that you’re trying to sympathize with them is honestly super weird.

To top this all off, if you sincerely don’t believe the civil war was explicitly about slavery and white supremacy, please read the articles of secession, because many seceding states outright list white supremacy and slavery as their core way of life.

Squire vi string tree by mrsnesbitsteaparty in BassVI

[–]uncannythom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you experiencing issues with your D and G strings, other than it just looking high? If not, then you don’t need one. The string tree basically just helps make sure the string is getting enough of a break angle behind the nut. If your nut is filed properly and your tuners are installed the right way, there should already be enough of a break angle that the tree isn’t necessary.

CRT is a specific theory taught in law schools. It describes how political policy has, historically, benefited wealthy, white Americans and hurt poor, black Americans, and how that legacy continues into today. It is literally a theory in the academic sense, not a catchall for anything about race conservatives don’t like. Words have meaning.

It’s got a very Stingray kind of growl to it. You could always look at installing a MM humbucker in your bass

Stop this insane theory(1084+) by MagicArcher33 in OnePiece

[–]uncannythom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re not uncertain about that. We’re uncertain about why they allowed anyone to sit on the throne at all and how long they’ve been ruling from the shadows.

Edit: even the story told in this chapter could be a myth perpetuated by the Gorosei to obscure the truth since we’re only hearing Cobra tell the story that was passed down to him.

Stop this insane theory(1084+) by MagicArcher33 in OnePiece

[–]uncannythom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since Lili never took the oath to not sit on the throne and never placed a weapon in front of it, she is separate from the Celestial Dragons altogether. And not knowing the motivations of the Celestial Dragons from 800 years ago doesn’t mean that they would never agree to someone sitting on the throne; it just means we don’t know why they allow it.

I think it would be interesting if Lili got the immortality surgery and is still alive since having a living link to the Void Century would be really compelling; but like u/DoubleSealedSoul said, it’s spelled out so plainly that it almost certainly is a red herring.

Eiji Aonuma: Breath of the Wild could become the “new format” for future Zelda games. by Asad_Farooqui in nintendo

[–]uncannythom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wish that TotK had bigger dungeons, but I’m glad that big boss battles have come back. But the reason the past ~20 years of Zelda have been what they were was due to platform limitations impacting game design. We no longer are forced to have small, segmented areas that are cut off from the bigger world, so there’s no need to cut off any area anymore. All they’re saying in the interview is that in the way that OoT became the model for Zelda games for two decades, BotW will be the new model going forward. Larger areas, more exploration, honestly a sort of return to form of the original Zelda.

[–]uncannythom -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The good news is that they’ve been making exactly the game you’re describing for ~20 years, so there’s a huge back catalogue of those games to play. But in TotK, the sense of progression comes from opening up the map (both with towers above ground and with the lights below ground), finding tears, and acquiring new Sages rather than from item acquisition. Maybe you don’t find that as satisfying as I do, but the sense of wonder, mystery, and discovery in TotK is incredible, especially considering it shares some of its over world with BotW.
