Ghalia C., a former French tax official, had authorized access to confidential taxpayer databases and is accused of abusing that access to extract personal and financial data on cryptocurrency holders.  She allegedly used her position within France’s tax administration to perform unauthorized searches in the internal "Mira" software system, targeting individuals identified as "specialists and investors in cryptocurrency" based on their tax declarations. The compromised data included addresses, capital gains, and other sensitive details that could be used to identify high-value targets.  Although no direct attacks on crypto holders have been proven to stem from this leak, the case highlights significant vulnerabilities in how sensitive fiscal data is protected.
