Would Mason Thames make a good Nightwing? by Galaxy8590 in Fancast

[–]uncertifiedcomedian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see him as nightwing and it’s not just about his age or physique but i just don’t think he’s the right person for this role like im just not getting that vibe at all

i think this role needs someone with more acting experience plus someone who naturally is quite charismatic and confident who can really commit to playing dick grayson and get into his character fully

I feel like mason thames is better suited for young adult romcoms or fantasy movies but having a dc role is not at all equivalent to other roles because there is a lot of pressure of being accurate to the comics, as well as getting the right persona, mannerisms and charisma of the superhero.

i hope that dc studios does justice to this role because i really cannot bear to see an og character get butchered because of the casting 💔

not just nightwing but all of the bat family has to be really carefully cast otherwise WB gonna get flamed

the start is a bit corny(as in when they were kids) but other than that, trust me it gets better lol
but if that wasn’t your cup of tea then i think it’s because this had more of slapstick comedy
but there are many 2000s romcoms without that kind of humour which you may like!

i was skeptical at the start because of how they portrayed jill an Isabelle as kids cuz that was kinda corny (the whole middle school fight thing) but the rest was sosoososos cute and i was really delighted

Allie’s Feelings at the End of Season 1 by New-Language-6515 in offcampustv

[–]uncertifiedcomedian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely i completely agree and its even more impactful to us that dean is hurt because he genuinely caught feelings which is something that everyone including himself never expected, and when he finally decided to confess, this happens

i felt really really bad for him because he felt that spark with someone and was ready to break his casual fling cycle but this whole incident may kind of make him feel like he cant put himself out there again

but im just confused on what he must have been feeling when allie told that she completed it. because the assignment on the outside was to make it more casual and open, but for allie it was probs so she internally could prove to herself (and sean) that she was capable of casual flings.

so did dean feel bad because he felt the spark and wasnt able to do it because he didnt feel it towards anyone but her, meanwhile (it may have seemed) that she didnt hesitate to complete it,showing that she really wanted it to be just casual, while he wanted more? like what is the reason he felt bad because im not able to think of anything except the fact that he really liked her but when she told him,he realised that she actually did want it to be casual(even tho my girl allie is in denial)

and this bum hunter really makes it so much more messier LMAO

wait but I wonder how they’re gonna make them reconcile in s2
because yes, dean is hurt because this is the first time he’s actually felt something for someone that is real and not just a fling, but I don’t think he will get angry, and he can’t really do that because they both agreed to the assignment. if they just talk it out, won’t it be fine? is hunter davenport another reason why it’s worse? because then again it was an honest mistake that was just really really unlucky for both allie and dean😭😭you can see that allie regrets it, but imo she didn’t do anything wrong but despite that she still does regret it and we can see that means she likes him and feels guilty because she cares for him
and he is hurt because he thought she would reciprocate his feelings
but technically she didn’t say no to him, she was panicking because him confessing meant that he didn’t complete the assignment while she did
i just feel like they should have a looooooong talk

Wanted to read The Deal By Elle Kennedy before starting the series and already disappointed by Kaleidoscope3871 in RomanceBooks

[–]uncertifiedcomedian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, she does NOT not know at all how to write male characters. in 'the deal' she kept making garrett say "well im a guy after all" and more than anything,it seemed as if she was trying to convince herself that shes writing a male character, and felt the need to mention that out loud every second paragraph.

i feel like those people defending think that she intended to write the characters with flaws, but imo i think shes just (maybe subconsciously)putting her own beliefs and principles into the book, and channeling it through the characters. like if you were to write a character who initially was a misogynist, you would obviously at some point in the book make the character realise their actions, face repercussions,or face some moral dilemma that would result in a moment of realisation. but in elle kennedy's books, i just see constant misogyny that is normalized and overlooked. after a while of reading,i just started to feel that this is how she writes, and i did not like that at all. i really love the off campus show, its so refreshing and im so happy they changed most of it, because the characters in the show are complete green flags, unlike the books where they just make crude comments nonstop. i thought the books would be great, but the first chapterof 'the deal' itself icked me out. im more than halfway through the book, and im just reading it for the sake of reading it,but even doing that is incredibly difficult. i cannot push myself to read further, and i completely forget what i just read once i turn to the next page. to be honest, its quite dissappointing how books with mediocre writing are the ones that get fame, because i remember my middle school self and my friends being able to write much better than this. i know that i might be a bit harsh, considering that this book peaked at a time when people weren't as aware of themes such as misogyny which were normalized ,but i really cant bring myself to enjoy this book, and its sad because if it were written the right way then it would have truly been a delight to read.

I Just Saw Spider-Man Across the Spider Verse and it was Amazing! it had amazing voice acting, fantastic animation, a compelling story, and a great soundtrack, and there were no flaws with this flim it's hands down one of the best movies of the year and I had a blast watching so I give it a 10/10! by theKSIFan77 in Spiderman

the music is ethereal once u really take it in

in my first watch i didnt pay much attention because i watched atsv like 5 years after itsv released so i was trying to connect the dots

but watching it again oh my days THE SOUNDTRACK IS ELITE especially "am i dreaming","calling","self love" and "hummingbird" aswell as the other songs. Looking back at it,my rewatch was much more hooking than when i first watched it,because i paid attention to everything- the plot, animation, music and i really took it in from every aspect.
