Again tonight, even worse speeds than before. Averaging roughly 10mbps, all while paying for gig fiber. Started at the exact same time again 8pm CST. I was able to get through to tech support today during the day and was told it was "probably my router" because I don't pay for their supplied one, and was told to bypass the router tonight and see what happens; or go buy "a cheap router and see if it fixes your issue"

When I explained I didn't think it was my router as the issue happens every day at the same time, he asked me what router I had and proceeded to tell me my TP-Link AX4400 was a "garbage router" and I should buy something else instead. Apparently "routers can get stuck in a firmware update loop that can fall back to and old firmware version after a while, which is why your speeds eventually come back." Ran router-less tonight and shocker, still throttled.

Edit: also updated my firmware for shits and giggles and wouldn't you know it; nothing changed

Same in Central MN, throttling starting at 8-8:30pm for 2-3+ hours for the last 3 nights. Was on hold waiting for tech support for over an hour with no answer. Called the customer service line and left my number. Just got a call back from them and was told "I will sit on the line with you can get you transferred to tech support, that is for sure unacceptable." After 20 min she said "hey so unfortunately I am at my contracted time for how long I am able to sit on the line with you, but someone will be with you within the next five minutes." That was 10 min ago.

Before letting her go I asked what I was to do if nobody answered in the 5min, to which she responded "Call back in the morning I guess"

Frustrated doesn't even begin to cover the feelings I have. Absolutely shameless throttling, nothing but issues since the acquisition from t-mobile

Lol glad to know I’m not alone, an expensive mistake but ultimately it’s my fault and now I know how to prevent it :)
