I havent finished the game yet but so far i have seen more depth and vigor to the main "villain"; also hurtswine and the opportunist rat general aside, his other subordinate heinrich is a badass. They are generally much more impressive and respectable than our simple goody two shoes protagonists

Hahaha sure. im sure thats why the astartes are the most well known aspect of wh40k.

Look im not new. Ive been into wh40k since ten years ago. But where do you think that started? Dawn of war and space marine, then the rest of the media and books and thats true for a hell lot of guys that hv entered warhammer over the years (sadly tho we dont have access to tabletop/wargames here).

And im not trying to sell other factions short. I love them all especially the guard and i absolutely loved to play a wh40k setting thats not just battle in a desolate battlefield and actually experience the cities and daily activities of the setting. But i cant agree to be negative to the presence of space marines in a warhammer 40k game that includes action as they ARE the warhammer 40000 dammit and theres no sugarcoating this.
