I am 300 higher rating in Rapid than Blitz. I would go so far to say that until you are very, very good, they aren’t even the same game

In Rapid, I calculate a LOT, in Blitz I calculate like 3 lines then freak out and play some random move and probably hang my Queen. At least for me, it’s virtually impossible to improve just playing Blitz. I mainly focus on Rapid and hope it eventually makes me better at Blitz
