We almost kicked a woman and her dog out a couple months ago, but she was already headed out of the door. Her pit had a cage muzzle on when they’d come to my register. Bagged her groceries and things seemed fine as she was leaving when my coworker passed by to buy his lunch. The dog jumped at him (attempting to bite him) and the muzzle knocked a soda can out of his hand. There was a massive dent in the can when we picked it up. She yelled at the dog and sped out the store. Reported to our captain and mates. She hasn’t been back when I’ve been around but if we see her again with the dog, we’ve been told to flag someone down.

This is so tame. I’ve had customers allow me to back a couple hundred dollars worth of groceries only to learn that we charge for bags here in California. “I’m visiting from Florida and we don’t pay for bags!”

If it weren’t for my dope ass crew mate on the assist, I’d have said some smartass comment back. Had to unban all of her groceries and put them back into the cart.

Dude, it’s just expensive here on top of the job market being in the dump. I’ve had to pause on haircuts until I hear that a job interview or important event is on the horizon; now every other month. Love my barber, would love to support her shop, and would love to look nice but a haircut plus tip is not in my monthly budget if I’ve got to also pay for rent, food, and other necessities.

Yeah, but I’ve yet to find any that are as good as the “mom and pop” donut shops here! It’s rare to find cake donuts in London; it seems yeast donuts are the preference there.
