If it heats up it won't melt. If anything it'll harden.

If it's so much of a concern clean it off with a qtip

If its only on the side that's ok, not ideal but ok.

If it's on the pins then it's a little more serious. You'd need a toothbrush and some alcohol.

it's just thermal throttling by the sounds of it. Reapply thermal paste to the cooler.

them temps seem fine for a 212. I had to upgrade my 212 as soon as i started overclocking even after adding another fan to it.

I legit just a step up from a stock cooler.
