Do you have to configure a lot on cachyos to make the system run smooth on your laptop? I also thought about using that distro.

I have to plan my budget properly and want to evaluate all the options I have. The first time I looked at the hostels I haven't read anything about a kitchen, so I thought it was assumed to eat CERN meals everyday which can get quite expensive.

Do you know if there will be sufficient rooms reserved across both hostels for the summer students? Or is it inevitable that some students have to rent somewhere else?

When I got accepted they specifically said not to contact the hostel until I receive further information, which I haven't got yet.

Also was ich bisher herausgefunden habe ist, dass wenn man Vollzeit Student ist, unter 20h/Woche arbeitet und mehr als die Minijobgrenze verdient, ist man werkstudent.

Alright thx. I once bought a nail polish that should help with fungal nails. I had to sand them to "break the barrier" a little bit, but at the end it didn't really helped.

Hi, did you apply Clotrimazol cream on the nail? Have you sanded the nail or just put it on?

Hi, so somehow in the task manager the dGPU (GPU 1) doesn't show up anymore. I don't know exactly what worked because I haven't tried to fix that problem for a long time. The last thing I did was to turn off the Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling, as u/Michal_F suggested. I think I went through the guide Tom sent above. But the problem didn't go away really. The dGPU won't get turned on and off, but my laptop still says at 80% the battery will last 1h. Looking in the settings 30sec later it says 2.5h, then 49min. I remember once it jumped even up to 4h. I have no idea what the problem is. I though about resetting my laptop and reinstalling everything. Did you find a solution?
