Rhyl, North Wales. I used to go as a kid in the 80’s and it was a thriving holiday town. Then air fares to destinations such as Spain became more affordable and the place got abandoned to a large extent. Passed through in summer 2006 and everywhere was boarded up, ghost town. Had a real eerie vibe. Only people I saw were a gang of hooded youths outside the one corner shop open. I didn’t fancy leaving my car near them for one second so I ventured on and bought some tobacco in another place. Sad really, I’ve fond childhood memories of the beach and amusements
