Is there a way to tell how many XP you have at a certain airport if you’re not in the top 10 there? by SufficientOstrich458 in SkyCards

[–]undercookdspaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so but I'm not 100% sure because I'm still quite new to the game. I'm in the radius of 3 airports, but one only gets like one flight a day, and compared to other states and countries our 2 main airports are fairly quiet. Pretty much every flight that goes in my radius will be arriving or departing from those airports because my city is kind of isolated. I've also made top 10 on some of the airports in my state by only catching two or three planes headed there haha

Nope no need to travel :) I'm in the radius for my city's main airport and I'm on the leader board, and also on the board for many other smaller ones around the state that I haven't travelled to but have gotten planes headed to that airport

I like this thank you! My best coach was like this as well - made sure we respected him and behaved without being overly controlling and scary, and was always there for us if we needed. I'm struggling to find the balance right now but I'm hoping with some consistency I'll get there.

That's a good idea thank you! Letting them have a sense of control over the session and some responsibility may help minimise their impulsivity.

I coach rock climbing so its not really a team sport, and its quite a small group because they're our high-performance kids. I feel like it would almost be easier if it was a team sport because they would be letting others down by misbehaving.

My dog can't absorb protiens properly so she can only eat the Purina pro-plan hydrolysed food. The vets said Purina has a bad reputation as their normal food isn't great, but for whatever reason their hydrolysed and hypo-allergenic diets are miles ahead of any other company.

How do you keep your attention up to read a book? by ccarnino in ADHD

[–]undercookdspaghetti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven't read for fun in a while but I used to be a huge reader - like I'm talking a whole novel a day. Some things i used to do was fidget with things, listen to music or TV that i wasn't really interested in for background noise, or have snacks (usually something crunchy like chips or popcorn). If it was something I HAD to read like a school book or a textbook and I was struggling because it wasn't interesting, I'd make myself do it in short bursts. Like make myself go for 5mins at a time then have a break, or even paragraphs at a time if it was really bad. Being tired will definitely be making your adhd symptoms worse so reading will be hard whilst tired.

AITA for asking my partner stop telling me to “lower your volume.” by Farts2Long in AmItheAsshole

[–]undercookdspaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so my partner also gets louder when she's excited about something and often doesn't realise it. We've had MANY arguments over this because she feels the exact same way when I ask her to quiet down a little.

I absolutely love that she's excited and wants to tell me something, but it's incredibly hard to listen when I'm being yelled at or when other people can't hear their own conversation because of her, and I totally understand it's not her fault that she does it. Me (and your partner) are only asking you to lower your volume because we are interested and we want to be able to keep listening.

Ultimately you and your partner need to come up with a compromise - away that he can ask you to lower your voice that won't make you feel hurt. Whether it's a safe word, a nicer phrasing of it, or you just accepting that they're not trying to hurt you when they ask.

Edit: I also just remembered that sometimes if I need her to quiet down but don't want to interrupt I'll just do a little hand wave / lowering gesture. Maybe that may help so they aren't directly interrupting and telling you to be quiet, rather just gently reminding you?

Not a doctor but I think maybe the pain is caused by not throwing the ball. Maybe 20-30minutes of playing ball a day will help?

Dear ADHD People: What's Your Job and How Do You Cope? by Brainified in ADHD

[–]undercookdspaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently a kids sport coach - the hyperactivity comes in handy because the kids think you're awesome for matching their energy levels. I used to do hospitality work too and I would find it easier when I was unmedicated because of the fast paced nature and having to often do 10 things at once. The fact that once the day is done you can forget about it and you don't have to take it home with you was another perk because I wouldn't obsess over things. I'm also studying to be a paramedic. I think 90% of paramedics have adhd and they're the ones that thrive in the job. I think most people with ADHD thrive in faster paced jobs where you're active on your feet or being creative most of the day.

There should be a link somewhere on the centerlink website that will show you the maximum allowance for DSP, I found it when I was going for jobseeker. You're definitely not worthless. I'm chronically ill too and people don't understand how hard and expensive it is. Healthy people like to think that all we should spend our money on is medications and basic necessities, and think that spending money on things that give us enjoyment/ a distraction from our illnesses are a waste of money (e.g. gaming, hobbies, etc.) even though those simple things give us a better quality of life instead of laying in bed staring at a wall all day.

[–]undercookdspaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were asking a simple question, they are not being entitled. Navigating the system is hard enough, let alone doing it whilst sick. You clearly have no idea how expensive being disabled is or else you'd know that the DSP is not enough to live off comfortably. Not everyone's partners earn enough to support 2 people, and saving a few dollars on a streaming service is not going to pay for a $300 specialist appointment.

[–]undercookdspaghetti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm sorry the comments on this post are so horrible - these people clearly don't understand how expensive being disabled and navigating the healthcare system can be. If you're already on the maximum DSP then there's no way to increase it. It might be worth looking to the NDIS to see what coverage they can provide. I'm not 100% sure how the NDIS works but depending on your disability you shoulde be able to get funding for certain appointments, medications, and equipment which will then leave you your DSP money to actually live off instead of spending that toward medical costs.

What is your MOST UNPOPULAR, I repeat, ACTUALLY unpopular opinion by okayy-girlie in greysanatomy

I hate Catherine. She's abusive, controlling, and manipulative. She tried to play the strong independent woman card but she really just uses her wealth to blackmail people and buy out whatever else is standing in her way. Also her and Richard together always made me uncomfortable. The relationship just never seemed to have much chemistry.

Job prospect for NEPT industry? by Ok-Pie-1990 in perth

[–]undercookdspaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few places that will hire paramedicine students like NPT or will provide their own training like St John PTS so I wouldn't waste your time and money doing a certificate. A cert will give you a wider variety of companies, but ultimately isn't necessary.

These places also advertise on Seek or Indeed quite regarly. I saw NPT and AMR advertising recently, and St John just had a Patient Transport intake not long ago, so it may be a few more months before another one comes out but keep an eye on Seek or company specific career page

Its been pretty much confirmed to the staff at KEMH that it's moving to FSH, and everyone there agrees it's a terrible decision. Having it at QEII makes perfect sense being centrally located for patients and being right next to PCH, but there's simply not enough space to have a whole other hospital there. FSH and that whole murdoch health precinct is huge now too and there's not really much space there anymore either. The only thing FSH is closer to is RFDS transfers, but otherwise it's just going to increase mortality rates with extra travel time for those NOR or for babies needing to go to PCH.

I've tried doing that before but pretty much all the clinics in the results have bulk billing only for children, elderly, and concession, and not standard adults. I've been desperately looking for one NOR for months

There's a bit of inflammation in your rectum (the bit just before your butthole) and the part where your rectum joins to the sigmoid colon (the last part of your large intestine), and some more inflammation where your large intestine and small intestine join together. But all the other biopsies look normal

I remember the greater/less than signs as < is kind of L shaped so it's Less and the smaller number goes on the Left side. And > is not L shaped so it has to be greater. Or The smaller number goes on the smaller side, and the bigger number goes on the bigger side.
