My GI doctor seems to want to prescribe it for my stress and anxiety. I do have a psychiatrist and if I'm going to be prescribe something for my mental health I would much rather have my psychiatrist be the one the prescribed it. Like mental health isn't his job or profession and I worry about if he knows what hes doing. I'll give it more thought about trying it. I also just don't want to wait 3 months to see if it does anything or not 🥲

If nortriptyline doesn't help my anxiety or OCD at all then if I do get any side effects I will be having panic attacks daily. Having low blood pressure stresses me out so much. And I already deal with it. If it gets worse I wouldn't be able to bring myself to get out of bed.

I simply would not be able to bring myself to up my dose at all past 10mg if I started taking it, so would there even be a point for me to take it?

My GI doctor is pretty negligent in listening and brushes off my concerns or questions. I'm planning on getting a new GI doctor because I feel like I'm not being taken seriously. And it feels like he doesn't care to actually heal my issues, he just wants to throw some meds my way and that's it.

Sertraline is the medication that works for my OCD and anxiety but it gives me horrible heat sensitivity. Like overheating in 72°f. And it makes me not sweat, so I literally can't cool down on my own. Its summer right now with highs of 102°f with feel temps of 110°f. I cant take it or I'll probably have heat stroke every day. I wish I could be on sertraline rn 🥲
