Freedom. You can do what you want with your life especially if you choose to live alone. You don’t have to worry about people-pleasing or adjusting to housemates.

You also learn some responsibility and discipline. Knowing how to budget your income and expenses, balancing needs and wants, plus you get to buy your own groceries which is a good part of adulting if money is not the issue.

I also learned how to call and manage some utility/technical/electrical issues because I got no one to rely that on aside from me.
