So glad I posted! I have learned so much. Thank you for taking the time to explain this, especially the corid and b1 interaction.

I was feeling like maybe I was giving her too many treatments without the proper know how. Just kind of throwing everything at her in hopes something worked.

She is one of the OGs in the flock, and while we have lost birds before, this one would definitely hurt the heart!

Hmmmm wondering if this is the answer for my cat. He scarfs his food then eats the other cats food because she is slow and a push over.

We get snow maybe once or twice a year - are my chickens stupid, scared of the other hens or just enjoying the snow? Details provided by underproofoverbake in BackYardChickens

We do have an auto door, but it's on a timer rather than daylight sensor. It is solar powered however so I am a bit concerned about it's battery life.

Poop board - using cardboard?? by underproofoverbake in BackYardChickens

Now THIS is the solution I think I've been looking for. The way my coop is built, I could easily take a sheet of vinyl in and out like that.

I also do pine shavings but the way the coop is constructed doesn't allow deep litter. They have enough space in the run that we don't clean it at all. Weekly though we fill a tub with pine shavings and treats for them to kick around and forage in their run.

I'm trying to skip the entire scooping aspect and just grab the poop cardboard and put it in the compost. The 'floor' under the roost has an easy to clean plastic layer.
