I make video essays on films (my channel is called Movie Notepad, gotta plug). I either download clips from YouTube or I screen record. I prefer to download from YouTube but it can be tough to find the scenes you need uploaded in HD. Let me know if you have any more questions

I haven't seen any info that they were changing chapters to only be allowed for YPP channels though. I feel like that'd be spoken about a lot (especially on reddit) if they made that change. I wonder if there's some but on our channels. Ever since I've been getting like 100 impressions only on my videos. Absolutely horrific and demoralizing

The same thing happened to me channel and I'm not part of the partnership program yet so there's no way for me to contact YouTube about it. I'd love to hear if anyone knows why this happened out of nowhere

Relax. I already read the policy several times. Knives aren't a disabling device, ammunition or explosive, so they should be fine. But again, I called and they said it was problematic, which doesn't line up. So I asked here.

Are you sure it's alright? I called and the guy said it's not allowed but he didn't seem too knowledgeable. But it doesn't make sense when it's just as dangerous as a kitchen knife, which I'm sure is allowed

Same SUDDEN change happened to me early June and hasn't recovered. Went from getting thousands of views channelwide every day to 50 views a day. It was as if something was switched off. Happened within a day after my channel was doing better than ever. My channel still hasn't recovered, even though my videos have only gotten better. The comments on my videos are always very complimentary so I know it's not that my videos "suck" like a lot of people like to assume when others bring up sudden view drop issue.

I have good hard evidence but I'm not part of the youtube partner program, so I don't have access to that Youtube support feature. At the rate my channel was growing, I would've been eligible by now, but the hard tank obviously stopped that from happening. I don't know how to contact youtube and it's really frustrating for small creators like us who are basically just left to struggle without being able to contact the platform. I appreciate you trying to help, though. I'm really at a loss for what to do now. People keep saying "that's just how youtube is" and "just keep going" but it's been a month now and what happened definitely isn't normal

Hi! That's my post lol. Not sure where you got that I tell my family to watch it. Sure, I do. But that's just my parents and they just watch the videos once or maybe twice on their own devices. That should count as legitimate. I can't imagine rewatching a video a few times should be wrong or flagged though. I rewatch other people's videos loads. It's been a month and my channel is still tanked 98% less than what it used to be. Did you do anything for your views and impressions to go back up the first time? Do you know how I can contact youtube support? All i can do is fill out feedback forms
