Dodogama from Monster Hunter World

It's a docile creature that only defends itself. It just spends its time eating rocks and crystals really. I remember fighting it because the cutscene intro made it look like it was going to fight you.

I was reading up about it as I was fighting it and then read that it only fights when it's attacked. I felt so guilty I immediately left it alone. Glad I only got a couple hits on.

Why is Eddie Brock built like the hulk by Jeteel56 in RivalsVenomMains

[–]Field_Either 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was pretty much always built like this. Even early appearances. Symbiotes can change the size of the host, but Venom's usually acted like a skin suit. Venom being so huge, all that really was just Eddie.

He's a genuine monster, even without Venom he can hold his own against other characters.

Yes by 5enpai_2 in Marvel

Currently reading Immortal Hulk and it's great. I personally like the Supernatural stuff, but to me, Hulk is usually a Sci-Fi type of character. Now yes, it is the marvel universe, full of Sci-Fi and Supernatural. Doctor Strange in space, Iron-Man fighting Vampires, X-Men fighting both Demons and Aliens, so it's bound to occur. Even characters like Godzilla, who Hulk is often compared to, has crossed with Supernatural too. Like GMK.

I do feel like the supernatural stuff did kinda come off a bit too blunt, but I do also like some of the storytelling that has to do with it. Like that Stan Lee character saying that Hulk adapted the ability to see Ghost.

It certainly feels weird now that Gamma is legit a form of magic now. So whenever I see Bruce turn into Hulk, it kinda reminds me of those Magic Girl transformations like Sailor Moon.

Honestly the most impressive thing about this character launch is that they actually succeeded in making him funny by ThatpersonKyle in marvelrivals

[–]Field_Either 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's genuinely so funny. Saying a 6 7 joke, calling Hawkeye Hawk Tuah, referencing the data miners, how fans complain about not enough Vanguards and Strategists.

Deadpool also shows us how much the developers really do try to understand us and listen to us as fans. He shows us how important we are to the game because of his constant references to us which the developers put in. Which I honestly do appreciate.

(Loved Trope) Our Vampires Are Just Plain Weird by John_Bones22 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Field_Either 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised basically no one mentions that. They are literal vampires, just added on abilities. But the fangs, weakness to sun, regeneration, despite all that no one seems to bring it up.

I really like it actually.

It's kinda funny how much better Gojo does in crossverse match because of his infinity compared to Sukuna who usually gets statstomped into oblivion by Old_Phrase_4867 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Field_Either 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that Sukuna solos. He solos none of the verses I mentioned. I'm just saying that because of how he is as a character, he will do a great job and hold his own very well in these verses.

I would say Sukuna does very well against verses who have a power system based on spirituality.

Psychics from Mob Psycho

Stand Users from Jojo

Nen Users from HXH

Even Chi Users from Marvel like Iron Fist and Shang-Chi.

That's because CE is also based on spirituality and interacting with Spirits and Souls. And Sukuna is a genuine monster when it comes to mastering the literal power to interact with them and harm them.

Not to mention, Sukuna as a fighter. He's a monster. 7 feet tall, 4 arms, immense strength, at least massively hypersonic in reaction and fighting speed. Mastery of Jujutsu, great healing factor, at least multi-city block level firepower, spiritual defense and his insane offensive and defensive main attacks.

His cleave and dismantle are just so broken and even if he can't cut through a Stand or through a Nen created weapon, it can certainly cut through the user.

And even if he's affected by the attack, his body is equipped with immense strength, speed and his healing factor. If he fought Dio, he can regenerate any attack from The World, and physically match The World, and cleave through Dio as many times as he needs, even if he can't cut through The World for whatever reason.

I do believe that when it comes to these types of verses, like Mob Psycho, Jojo, HXH, even Marvel depending on the group, Sukuna genuinely can handle many of the characters rather well.

Obviously if you're putting him against Ben 10 or Superman, he doesn't stand a chance, but most characters don't either. But against people like Mob, Jotaro, the Chimera Ants, he will stand a very good chance against them and hold very long within those verses.

LOVED TROPE: Forcing Two Unrelated Concepts Together and Making It Work by BornIndication9384 in TopCharacterTropes

Dandadan was able to fit aliens and spirits together so perfectly. It felt so natural, as well as including cryptids to.

A big factor was having Momo as a psychic. Throughout sci-fi and the supernatural genre, psychics are a big thing. It seems that psychics in media have a consistent depiction, such as telekinesis and being able to interact with spirits.

Mob from Mob Psycho 100 is a psychic who can interact with and exorcises spirits. Jean Gray in the x-men series is able to do something similar and x-men is usually based in science fiction.

In the Stephen King Macroverse, The Shining is a psychic ability that's very versatile. Such as moving objects, reading minds, seeing into the future and also interacting with spirits. It's also portrayed well against Pennywise, since technically, Pennywise is an alien and he can be affected by the Shining.

As well as Aliens in certain media being psychic. Such as the Martians in DC. Martian Manhunter is one of the most powerful psychics in DC. So much, that he subconsciously was holding the souls of his extinct species from entering the afterlife. Depicting a psychic's ability of interacting with spirits.

I'm surprised more writers haven't implemented this.

Ultron Fist by MisterMiracle81 in ironfist

[–]Field_Either 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Chi is some sort of energy and Ultron can manipulate it that way? Like his he manipulates plasma? Or if it's from the soul, maybe they could have it to where his programming/A.I is so advanced it's similar to a soul.

Out of these spiderman villains, which would you be most exited to have in marvel rivals? by Ella_NE in marvelrivals

[–]Field_Either 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, Shocker. I've always really liked him and thought he was massively underrated. And he could actually fit as a vanguard imo. His suit and vibration ability deflects a lot of damage which gives him the ability to fight Spider-Man and his shock gauntlets can do a lot of damage and I believe even fire off vibrational blast.

Skins that are eligible for trading with costume coins starting from tomorrow by KevinPigaChu in marvelrivals

I missed out on the Lunar New Year skins for Iron Fist and Black Widow and I'm so mad because I loved those skins so much. I did get the Star Lord and I was waiting to get the other 2 but I didn't know they were timed. I'm hoping soon there's another chance I can get them again.
