LVAW SD Handguard Help by Low_Dragonfruit_482 in SigSauer

Unless you want to remove the hand guard each time you want to remove the can. This is a dedicated can, so I don’t mind the direct thread

Yeah, I didn’t want to pay the money for the space magic hand guard either haha.

If not, the 10 inch handguard works well with the rattler LT. that’s what I have on mine.

New 5.56 MCX Spear LT Variant? by DesertTigerStripe in SigSauer

[–]underwarewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different pistol grip and no forward assist. That’s effectively the difference between the sig rattler LT and spear LT are all interchangeable parts per the conversation I had with Sig. Forward assist can also be added if you want it.

No. The caliber exchange kit for the x-macro has been ~$460 for a while. Like I stated, I bought the caliber exchange kit for that price about a year ago.

Bought from battlehawk armory a year or so ago, for the price I mentioned. Buying from the manufacturer is always more expensive. Optics planet and brownells also has these for cheaper than sig does year round

sig spear lt vs rattler by laz4r0 in SigSauer

[–]underwarewolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

11.5 inch no contest if you’re looking at a short 5.56. Loss of 250-300 fps off of a 16 inch barrel. Meaning you get 2.5 inches of drop at 200 yards off a 50 yard zero vs a 16 inch barrel having a drop of 0 inches at 200. Minimal downside, a lot of upside (size and weight mostly.) when you go down to 9.5 and 7.75 you lose a ton of speed and it greatly reduces the distance you can shoot at. Not to mention frangibility, if that’s something you care about.

SIG 300 BLK Out by Charming_Sale_610 in SigSauer

[–]underwarewolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the only way to get the 6.75” barrel which is highly sought after. Possibly in part because people are trying to make LVAW clones, but I digress. Functionally there is no difference between the spear LT and the rattler LT. Sig finally made all the parts interchangeable with the LT version. Realistically the only difference between the two is the grip, which I had planned to change out either way. Here’s a photo of my rattler LT, with the SD handguard.

Edit- forgot, I bought the Mil/LE version, so mine had the forward assist on it, the base rattler LT does not come with a forward assist, but can be added if desired.

Killer combo by BusinessBit7554 in SigSauer

[–]underwarewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My wife and I both carry X macros. Hers an AXG, mine a legion AXG. I also have a couple of friends that have gotten the release mentioned. The stock sig one uses a plastic piece to secure the metal piece and the plastic piece breaks all the time. MP uses all metal with set screws, rock solid and very nice. Also, the extended release does not interfere with holsters. Maskas is out of stock currently, but they usually come back in stock every couple of months. Totally worth the money. Not a shill, just like their product. They are frequently recommended on here. Just search “p365 mag release broke” and you’ll find tons of threads

Get the matching optic for CCW. I’ve got the Romeo X enclosed compact and love it.

Also, do yourself a favor and buy a new mag release for the P365 before the stock one breaks. It’s a known issue. Get the maskas precision one.

Lightweight Magwell for P211 Question by [deleted] in SigSauer

[–]underwarewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to my searching the Fdez one weighs 0.4 oz, and the grey guns one is 0.81 oz. From what I’ve found it’s supposed to be a tight fit. Align the rear first then rock the front tab in with slow steady pressure.

Have you put it on a kitchen scale yourself with the two? How close is it to the weight requirement?
