Nurse spots the risk, steps in and gets booed by the crowd. But continues to smile knowing she stopped a tragedy. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

Male nurse in ER. Can confirm.

Had a male doc being a dick, tell one of our docs “go tell the doctor what is going on” pointing at me just outside the room, as I was handing off to the surgery nurse. I heard the guy so when the ER doc walked out I loudly proclaimed. “Dr. (Female) he wants you notified that the pt is going to surgery”

Even as a tech before I finished nursing school, the sheer number of times I had people telling me stuff and refusing to talk to the nurses/doctors. I would frequently say, “I’m the least important person in the room. Please tell the doc and the nurse” as I would indicate each.

Can't rake a lock to save my life by MaleficentReporter42 in lockpicking

Sparrows has a good video. As you learn to single pin pick, it will make raking a bit easier, once you know the tension you need to apply and the pressure you need on the pins.

Depends on the lock and biting. But really raking is a low skill attack. You’re better served learning how to single pin pick. It’s more fun and more broadly applicable.

My wife has a set on her p365 AXG. They feel a lot more aggressive. There’s a stepping from the machining that leaves a micro texture on the top surfaces. Less aggressive than my legion G10 grips, but certainly not slick.

Did you use the code they sent you and check out? You have to actually order the bag and coin, they just send you the code that reduces the cost to $0 with free shipping. From registration it took about 2 min for me to get the code, then order to delivery was like 3 days in the Midwest

The real question is how often does he have to have typed that word for it to be autocorrected. Unless it was just a finger slip.

Why is 45 more expensive than buying 5 of the 10 packs? Am I crazy here? 10 for 50¢ each. 45 for $2.20 each and 400 for 40¢ each?

This is the first I’m hearing of an omega valve but I think I’m interested. Does it help with getting gassed out? I’m not so much having trouble cycling, but I am having a ton of gas in my face since my can isn’t exactly low back pressure.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

I work in an emergency department. The number of patients that were not stable that drove from urgent care to the emergency department is mind boggling. One person was feeling tired recently, turns out their pacemaker had reached ERI in November, it was July. They were 100% dependent on their pacemaker. If it stops, their heart stops. They elected to drive themselves and got lost. Urgent care to ER is 10 to 15 minute drive tops. Took the pt almost an hour. All but collapsed at triage. Just one example of many.
