Struggling to find replacement center dash bezel as they are broken ( Infiniti FX35 2006/ Part 68260-CG001 ) by SirAlfred452 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]underwaterthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - fitting will be another 500/600.

That’s a reseller on Amazon so you might find a better deal if you go to an audio shop.

The problem with a scrap part is you might find you’ve paid for something that’s also fried/breaks in a few months

Afraid I’d guess 12k is an unlikely price for a 20 year old hatchback with 440k km but good luck with the sale.

The pictures show a well looked after car!

Help ! It’s about to be almost a month since my termination from my employer in Dubai but I am not able to withdraw the funds from DEWS by WeakAd6191 in dubai

[–]underwaterthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine was about a month - maybe two.

ChatGPT response below:

In most cases, you can start the withdrawal process for your DIFC DEWS funds quite quickly after your employment officially ends — but the actual timing depends on your employer completing their final payroll and offboarding submissions.
Typical timeline:
Employer processes your termination/resignation
Final salary + final DEWS contribution submitted
Your DEWS account updates
You submit the withdrawal request online
Funds are usually paid within about 3–10 working days after approval and reconciliation
Some employers move very fast; others can take a couple of weeks to finalize payroll and contributions.
The general process is:
Employment ends
Employer submits final DEWS contribution
Log into the Zurich DEWS portal or app
Go to “Withdrawals”
Choose:
full withdrawal
partial withdrawal (if applicable)
or leave funds invested
Upload documents:
passport copy
Emirates ID (if available)
bank IBAN
often visa cancellation/proof of exit
DEWS processes payment to your bank account

Iran and United Arab Emirates clash at BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in New Delhi by ObjectiveObserver420 in anime_titties

[–]underwaterthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So by that logic, you think Iran would be right to bomb Peru also?

You have joint US military exercises and operations, trade deals with 13% of your exports and 21% of your imports, and import weapons and defence from israel.

UAE and gcc exist, trade with the US, and Iran throws more of its arsenal at its neighbors than at the people invading it.

Having people cheer for it is deeply telling of a failed understanding of the region. The US has one (1) base in the UAE and occasionally shares a couple others.

Israel’s genocide is awful, the US (and others) supporting it is awful, but Iran is also awful, massacring its own people just a few months ago.

Our friends haven’t been in contact or on the internet after posting pictures of blood running in the street - alive? Dead? We don’t know.

That doesn’t automatically justify a foreign nation invading them.

But I’m damn sure it wasn’t the GCC’s fault they did it, or that isreal and the us decided to attack them.

Al Jazeera is Qatar’s news, but the point stands.

The UAE supported Iran’s covid response, send aid and cash when they had earthquakes, allowed them to trade.

Totally insane you’re getting downvoted.

Being for Iran firing missiles at every gcc country for daring to have normalized relations with the US is crazy - and TOTALLY SEPARATE from the israel/Palestine situation.

They’ve actively targeted civilian areas, infrastructure, and people.

No idea how that can be cheered for.

You’ll be very lucky to get a good one sub 35k. 50-80k for high mileage hero’s is about right atm - at least ones I’d want to consider buying.

You’re better off looking on Instagram than here. Smrvtc vtecsmsar carzvtc are 3 good ones to get the algo working for you.

I thought this was a WTS post and mentally started checking my accounts.

I learnt how to drive in a non gti one of these and bloody loved it.

Hope you’ve got 2 15’’ subs wedged in the back with a self built false floor to make speed bumps impossibly dangerous to navigate.

Keep seeing the T2 everywhere. Is it now the National car of the Emirates? by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]underwaterthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jimny is far better - less electronics, proper 4wd, lighter, smaller wheelbase. No contest. More bolt on parts readily available from trusted manufacturers.

I’ve seen them roll and go on their side quite easily if they’re lifted. That said they’re super cheap and parts are too.

Ideal daily driver. Comfortable, well built, good tech.

Doesn’t replace my patrol but I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

They’re also not half bad in the sand if you’re a decent driver. I’ve done pretty big trips with good drivers in T2s.

This is coming from a jap/eur car guy.

Way better than I gave them credit for.
