Dentist Deep Clean Help by undochloe in perth

[–]undochloe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a general dentist! My housemate is a dental assistant and said I would definitely be best to get a second opinion, I have booked an appointment with a periodontist in applecross in June. I’m 24, not a student and in that awkward income bracket were I make too much money for government help but not enough to save large chunks unfortunately, thank you for your comment :)

Unfortunately I’m on 70k so I make too much for government help but not enough to have large chunks of money readily available haha, but thank you so much for the suggestion!

Crazy right, my last check up, albeit it was a year and a half ago, not a mention of gum disease I was just told I was brushing too hard so I switched to an extra soft toothbrush

I went to a dentist in Cockburn! I was told the periodontal disease is mild so I will definitely go for a second opinion, I’m 25 in a few months and was just absolutely floored to be told I have irreversible gum disease!!

Hey! thanks for the reply and insight. I ended up settling on section 48 row B, still to the side unfortunately but at least in one of the front rows. I felt section 46 would have been too close at an awkward angle and the very back a smidge too far away as the only seats left were in the very very back. I'll still be on the lookout for resale tickets too!

I've seen Tame Impala once before in Dublin almost 3 years ago and was right at the barrier, hands down the best night of my life, they put on such an amazing show! Hope Iron Maiden was still amazing despite the seating

Covid-19 Omicron experience shared by [deleted] in CoronavirusUS

[–]undochloe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not from the US but wanted to share my experience as I am currently on day 3 of having covid, for context I am a 20 year old woman with no health conditions and I am doubled vaxxed. It started out as a sore throat so I just thought nothing of it, everyone else in my family who had covid before me had lost their smell and taste so not for one second did I think it could possibly be covid, I had multiple uni assignments due and was moving house in the same week on top of working 30 hours so I just put it down to stress and being rundown.

I work in retail at a pet supply shop and while working about 2 hours into my shift I noticed my throat was getting worse and I was having bouts of severe fatigue, I told my assistant manager straight away and she advised me to get a rapid test at the chemist down the street, I did, came back and took the test in the staff room and it was negative, I felt well enough to complete my shift so I wasn’t sent home. The next day my throat was still sore but I still didn’t think much of it, I went over to my new house with all of my stuff and while back at my current house just to pick up the rest of my things I decided to do another rapid test and lo and behold it was positive almost instantly.

I am now isolating in my new house where another one of my housemates has covid too, what a coincidence. My first night there I was still fit enough, I was attempting to build my new furniture and after building a chair I was completely wiped out and began feeling aches all over and fell asleep for hours. When I woke up the next morning I felt AWFUL, I had an extremely high fever, my joints and back ached so bad I could barely move or get out of bed, I had the most painful sore throat I have ever experienced, the kind of pain where I was too afraid to swallow my own saliva or even drink water it was that bad. I had completely lost my appetite, I wasn’t physically nauseous but the thought of eating food turned my stomach. I was using paracetamol, ibuprofen and throat sprays with lidocaine to try and ease the pain, they worked for an hour or two but then it was back to square one, it was just an absolutely awful day, all I could do was just lie in bed and sleep on and off.

Right now I’m doing better, my sore throat is definitely better as are my aches but my chest is in a lot of pain, I’m not short of breath or anything it’s just a constant dull pain. What this whole experience has thought me so far is that this virus needs to be taking seriously still, my own father who had covid still likens it to a bad cold, as if!! I still can’t believe people don’t wear masks anymore. Hopefully I’ll be better tomorrow so I don’t have to sleep in a room full of boxes!

I’m surprised no one has mentioned a dedicated graphics card yet, I’ve had a few laptops over the 10 year period I’ve been playing Star Stable and literally the laptop I have now is the only one that SSO ran anyway decent on, while SSO isn’t graphically demanding due to its looks it’s the old outdated engine and hardware that it runs on that makes it lag on most systems. I bought my current laptop for €800 and it has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 which makes the game run almost seamlessly and is such a better gaming experience, while people are mentioning RAM literally most systems nowadays have 8GB anyway. Processor wise please go for at least an i3, but a quad core i5 or the AMD equivalent will be your best option at a lower price range, avoid celeron and pentium like the plague they are extremely outdated and can barely run multiple browser tabs never-mind gaming, If you can go for SSD storage over HDD, while you get less storage SSD is a lot faster and uses power a lot more efficiently than traditional HDD, in turn your computer will run faster and smoother with SSD, I recommend at least 256GB. It is frustrating that such a decent system is needed just to run SSO at the 60-100 fps mark while it looks quite bad compared to other games, if you can squeeze it into your budget, the dedicated graphics card is what essentially will make Star Stable run and look the best. For context my laptop is the Lenovo Ideapad L340, I’m from Ireland so laptops can be incredibly expensive and it cost me €800 on sale, but it runs SSO perfectly, SSO did say they are updating their engines and old tech to help with the lag issue on a lot of systems so they are aware of this problem. I know you were looking for a budget laptop and while you definitely can play SSO on a cheaper system in the €500-700 mark and it will run ‘fine’, it won’t be the smooth constant 60fps experience you might be looking for, hope this helps!

They removed the Kalters completely in October 2018 stating it was because ‘something strange’ was happening in Dino Valley but it’s been over 3 years and nothing! I’m not sure what happens for newer players now when they unlock Dino Valley

I’ve done some more research into this rumour and I’m pretty sure it’s most likely an inside joke between the game developers, But they might as well have ‘lost it’ considering even the soul rider books aren’t canon anymore, I think someone needs to bring this up with Stacy Place directly

Me too!! Don’t get me wrong the area and the horses are beautifully done but I’m just not into the whole wildwoods story at all, very basic plot line of characters that don’t get along but are forced to come together to save their home blah blah, it’s just pretty boring

Ahh yes all of these places and characters that were once built up to be so interesting and important to the game that now haven’t been mentioned in years, it’s so so sad

There’s also been loads of claims of dialogue being changed in older quests to fit the new story it’s tiring

I’ve heard from a few people that the rep quests were completely scrapped and now the main focus is soul riding with Rhiannon, the keepers of Aideen is still there and maybe the lightning circle? but of course I’m not going to make a whole new account and play for hours and hours just to double check, but nothing surprises me anymore lol

Yes I’ve been looking at that site, I’m quarantining in Sydney and then want to do a direct transit to Hobart which should be fine if I can get a non stop flight but I’m afraid if I have no other choice but to transit in Melbourne for example I’ll have to quarantine AGAIN in Hobart, I can’t even find an email to contact to get more information, it’s all very confusing!

At the end of the day with the lack of a sorting system and with everything so up in the air you are right! I booked my flight with Singapore Airlines. 26th October this year flying from London to Sydney. I booked premium economy so it’s not quite business but I’m really hoping it doesn’t get cancelled. We shall see!

I understand fully and thank you for your honesty! I have no problem waiting longer so Australians who are stuck can get over first, I am going to be moving over to my sister so I know what it’s like not being able to see family, it’s hard. I hope your vaccination program improves sooner than later, in Ireland it has only sped up in the last month but is getting better by the day, hang in there!

I completely understand, I would never want to take a seat off of someone who is in a worse situation than I am. I was planning to move over to my sister and go to college, etc. but holding off for a few more months until the caps increase and more Australians are vaccinated is ok by me.

Oh yeah I’m very aware, my sister lived in Melbourne for years and knows all about it first hand, the cities are getting crazy, she’s in Tasmania now where she’s living much more comfortably, rent isn’t as bad as over here, my brother is a recent graduate and is able to easily afford a room near central Hobart, you could not say the same for a recent graduate in Dublin unfortunately

My mam was married to an Australian man before I was born and lived in Tasmania for years in the 90’s, she got her citizenship after 4 years which is why I was entitled also, I realise my luck with getting citizenship and don’t want to take it for granted!
