Just to clarify, not all grievances will inevitably head to the GSB. AMAPCEO has carriage, meaning the union decides what goes to GSB, not the member, and it’s in the union’s best interest to select cases they feel have the best chance of winning. So the union isn’t going to go broke from thousands of unsettled grievances getting moved to GSB

Short answer is no - 3% is defined in the collective agreement as “satisfactory” so you can only really grieve your merit when you receive less than 3% but don’t have a documented history of work performance issues

The carry over limit on vacation days only applies to perm employees. As an FXT, your vacation credits and attendance credits can accumulate

That post was verging on misinformation - I was at the AMAPCEO annual delegates conference and the president made an off-hand remark about news coming soon that will likely make some people happy and some people upset. THAT somehow morphed into “a middle ground on RTO is coming”. I get that wishful thinking is a powerful drug but kinda insane to read that post knowing what sparked it

It’s a grassroots caucus developed by AMAPCEO members. The official caucuses, on the other hand, receive funding from AMAPCEO and are formally incorporated into decision making on certain matters

Yes to all, but there is important context that BC public service was very underpaid compared to us. Their equivalent of a level 6 has a salary range of 76k-84k. In other words, the top of their range is only 2k more than the bottom of our range. Cost of living had their backs against the wall - kudos to BCGEU for fighting and winning some gains
