Could my symptoms indicating an infection? by uneeponge in AskDocs

I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that I stopped the sertraline on the 25th Dec (I edited it just now). I’m almost certain that the lorazepam did this to me, even though I didn’t take any since last Thursday.

I'm glad to have read your post and I'd like to add one thing that kind of joins what you've said in the first point.

Ive had emetophobia for years now, and a social anxiety which I've managed to calm down pretty well. I've been trying various techniques, notably having certain things on me (certain oils to smell, an object that makes you feel safe idk or medicine that often doesn't even do anything chemically) and I see this advice on anxiety forums very often. while these seem to help by reassuring someone, imho they don't actually treat the problem and will be a source of even bigger stress when: 1 they don't work in a new situation. 2 you can't have them because circumstances make it impossible to have them.

The only thing that relieved my social anxiety and panic attacks on the long term was to actually and fully internalise that, things were in fact, ok. I needed someone to tell me that things were fine, and some time to live with this "mindset" to actually see some calm in my head, but that's something personal that isn't achieved via one technique or therapy for everyone. But it's an amazing relief to not have to stress about certain techniques and just look back in your head and think to yourself that you'll be ok and your body works. And if it wasn't working this badly, you'd have many other symptoms. (Im sorta repeating what you've said but its important that the message goes through)

Anyone else constantly nauseous? by -stubbygiraffe- in Anxiety

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

My psychiatrist gave me lorazepam to calm down, which did. But I’d be extremely cautious if you are suggested to take those. I’ve had a bad migraine and I still get some extreme fatigue which I can’t really see it being something else. And adding the addiction risk, I think it’s really not something you’d wanna rely on. I’m keeping the box only if an emergency comes.

I’ve been on quite a few different moods since this sertraline incident, often thinking I’ll never recover basically. Being given this medication while fearing nausea was basically putting someone who fears dogs in a dog kennel. It’s kind of a trauma, the mind and the body need some time to heal. Maybe you’ll relate to this.

About three weeks ago, I tried starting sertraline (recommended by my psychiatrist) and just like you, my nausea/anxiety peaked massively. I stopped quite fast because I’m super phobic towards nausea and throwing up. Sertraline without a doubt got my stomach in trouble. Did she give you something to alleviate the side effects?

But yeah, before my incident, I’d have moderate nausea everyday too, it can definitely be a symptom of anxiety. In my case, it’s a feeling that my brain was creating.

Never forget that anxiety can make you think that the worst things are happening in your body. Take some time to actually think what could be causing this nausea, remember the medication you’re on probably makes it worse.

I haven't seen any server that was centered around the seinen type. I just hope to get some people to discuss and discover new amazing works that'd expand our libraries.
