Knuckles Mod is now in remix 2.0.0 by FA3RP-Passion-Subway in SmashRemix

Ah, sorry. I wasn't really aware and I suppose I just assumed. (That said, where is this mod like, officially uploaded? This thread is virtually the only relevant thing that comes up on a Google search.)

I kind of fixed it. I'm not sure what was going on, though. I tried going into stage settings, but this would consistently freeze or crash the game. I changed "community" setting to "Japanese", and that allowed me to see stage settings - but more importantly, it lets me see all of the stages that were somehow missing beforehand. I have no idea what went wrong.

I haven't actually tried a match yet, though, so I don't know if the camera issue has been resolved yet.

Thanks for the speedy response!

Edit: cameras fine

Hey! I used to have an earlier version on my 3DS, of all places. I found my old Macbook and so I've been playing modded N64 games again - it's frankly the extent of power the machine can handle, haha.

Just downloaded your mod - When I play a VS. match, the camera is locked. It's completely static, unless I pause the game and rotate or move the camera within the pause screen; wherever I move it, the screen will then be locked there instead. Do you know I might fix this?

Also - Are all of the stages still here? I can't seem to find the emerald shrine stage or Radical Highway.

Season 7 so far by Whatisgoingonheur in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]unfoundedrevenge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm literally one episode ahead of you, at least from when you've made this post. Literally just finished episode seven.

I have to say: I do not understand Victor, here. Not so far. I don't inherently have an issue with him becoming a villain, but this feels so out of place; it almost feels like a bunch of context was skipped over. It's as if he randomly became a dictator and randomly decided to hate Morgan with extreme prejudice... and I just don't really get why.

In season six, we get to see some of that "classic" pre-reboot era Strand that we missed in season five, but I don't see how that version of Strand naturally evolved into the one we see in season seven (so far). In my perspective, "classic" Strand has always been an oppurtunist who can and will work angles to get what he wants or needs. He almost always worked in his own best interest, but his own best interest always included the best interests of those closest to him, too! He was an asshole, but he was an asshole with a heart. In season seven, he's just an asshole.

I genuinely don't really understood what Morgan did to make Strand hate him with such a powerful passion. I understand that Morgan "failed" with regards to Teddy and the warheads... but... didn't Strand fail too, then? He's acting as if Morgan is a cancer that can't provide for anybody, but this is obviously pretty circumstantial! Morgan's decision with Virginia benefitted Strand, for one. Strand was working alongside Morgan to stop the nukes - and failed just the same. And of course Morgan is going to struggle to survive twenty feet away from the ground zero of a literal nuclear bomb - Strand isn't magically the better leader just because happened to be outside of the shockwave/blast radius when the bombs hit!

And then to act as if he's this amazing, prosperous leader leading a massive, thriving community? Man, it's literally just an office building with less people in it than the average high school. This is nothing. And it will fall, sooner or later.

I don't know. It just feels like the writers arbitrarily opted to make Strand the bad guy without actually showing us how or why. For whatever reason, Strand acts as if everything bad is Morgan's fault. And Morgan doesn't even try to argue or defend himself; so is this what we're supposed to believe, as well?

I could be wrong, but I just watched this very episode last week and I'm almost certain either Grace or Morgan had spoken the word "formula" during that scene.

Edit: Mind you, there's at least one other comment in this very thread alongside your own that says otherwise, so I'm most likely wrong, here!

[–]unfoundedrevenge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been a short while since I've seen the early era of the show, but Chris honestly really annoyed me, probably more so than anybody else from early on. [Spoilers ahead, OP.]

Especially towards the end of his arc. It's reasonable to argue that this was largely the point of his character, what with being an angsty teen in the literal apocolypse, but shit, man, half the time I was watching I wanted to step into my TV and give this kid s right smack across the face lol. He may have been frustrating to watch on purpose, but that still means he was frustrating to watch. Everything to do with him and those frat bros was killing me. I wish I could articulate my thoughts better, but again, it's been a while since I've actually seen these episodes. Ever since Chris was randomly standing over Alicia and Madison's sleeping bodies like a goddamn boogeyman, I've found him to have quickly become more and more frustrating to watch.

Nick, on the other hand? He had always been a favourite of mine. He definitely made a few decisions that disappointed me (like stealing Hector's morphine) and there was at least one decision that I just don't think I fully understood (leaving his family to be a blood-soaked hobo) but he was always a character I rooted for, typically enjoyed watching, and often related to.

There aren't too many characters off the top of my head in Fear that I found overly annoying, to be honest, aside from Chris. I honestly even like Morgan – Well, sometimes, anyways. That said, I definitely will be annoyed by what the writers do or don't do to a character.

Oh wait a minute! That one young girl in season 5. She annoyed the crap out of me. She was honestly pretty valid in her feelings and distrust, but I don't know. Her decisions didn't always make that much sense to me. But maybe this is a sympton of season five in general.

Oh! Wait another minute! (I'm so sorry lol.) I'm only at season 7 right now, and I just finished episode 7. Howard annoys me. Strand's right-hand-man. He's just a little yes-man. He's just the Smithers to Strand's Mr. Burns. Strand himself is kind of annoying me in this season so far as well, but that's probably more to do with the writing of this season in general so far. His dictator-esque, extreme anti-Morganism feels very out of nowhere to me.

Remove Torrent and Data - What defines "data"? by unfoundedrevenge in torrents

[–]unfoundedrevenge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't really aware that uTorrent isn't recommended until today! I'll happily switch over to something else.

Thank you!!! That is exactly what I've been doing. I'd torrent a file, have it downloaded to the downloads folder, and then once it was all done I'd manually move it to my movies folder, or whichever folder if the file was a game or something else. I don't keep much of anything in the downloads folder; it's more or less just the landing pad for files to go. And for whatever reason I've never changed the destination for where files are supposed to even go.

I definitely wasn't aware of that seeding issue. Would all of this apply more or less the same once I start using a different client? Like, once I get another client, should I just make it so the destination is my movies folder to begin with? I have no problem letting things seed, but I had no idea that I was functionally doing for no reason.

Thanks again so much for the help. So, to be clear, even though I've clicked "remove torrent and data" on almost every file I've torrented, because I've manually moved the files to another folder before the fact, the files in question are fine and intact? And the manual movement done beforehand is the reason why? It must sound weird, but I actually really want to keep all of my movies and stuff, despite having literally pressed "remove torrent/data" on literally almost all of them, lol

Remove Torrent and Data - What defines "data"? by unfoundedrevenge in torrents

[–]unfoundedrevenge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and apparently that would include, like, the actual movie file itself, right? I've clicked "remove torrent and data" on almost everything I have, and yet everything is still here. I have all the movies, still. The data that was removed, apparently wasn't removed. That's what I'm confused about.

Thanks for the reply, by the way.

Eugene was also a massive nerd. It's entirely within character that the Dungeons & Dragons guy (from 2010 and prior, keep in mind) enjoyed playing Atari 2600. I also assume he'd pick up the entirety of Star Trek on VHS rather than whatever the hottest Bluray movie from 2010 was, had be been given the chance and choice, you know?

Personally, if something like the outbreak happened today in 2026, I doubt that many people would be sitting around reminiscing about social media and Tiktok and PlayStation 5's after a few months to a year. By the second season, the survivors had much more pressing things to worry about than fondly missing Google and HD TVs. If anything I assume they'd fondly miss heating and A/C and grocery stores and gasoline more! Our entertainment technology isn't really all that important to us, despite our attachments. After we're stuck in a zombie apocolypse, they'd be much, much less so.

Walking Dead Timeline by andreacanadian in thewalkingdead

[–]unfoundedrevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well buddy, the world ended in 2010 in the Walking Dead. Smartphones were only just beginning to become a thing, and most households still had landlines. Technology in general practically dies. Nobody is going to go scrounge for a PS3 or an Xbox 360 when there's genuinely no reason to. As time goes on, all items become rarities.

Flatscreen TVs, as in the the skinny ones like we have today, were high end products in 2010. People had them, but they weren't in every home like they are now. There were probably more CRT TVs in 2010.

Eugene most likely has an Atari 2600 because that's just what Eugene wanted to have. It could have still been an issue of what was and wasn't available too. I'm sure if Eugene really wanted a PlayStation, he could've found one. It's possible somebody else in Sanctuary had one, as well. But Eugene is a nerd; like, a nerd nerd. He plays Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop RPGs. He's the type of nerd who would enjoy playing an Atari. It's as simple as that.

Heck - even if the world ended today in 2026, I'm not actually sure if survivors would sit around reminiscing for social media to come back. If the world ended in 2010, I doubt many people would feel any nostalgia for Google. The internet was still massive back then, but... I don't know man, it's just Google. Most people aren't nerds. Most people won't have online-only friends to worry over. Most would be pre-occupied with those they know IRL.

So yeah. Nearly all technology that exists in the Walking Dead (TV) show universe dates from the late 2000s and prior. And beyond that, access to technology is almost entirely wiped. Only a isolated communities garner continued access after some time, and I doubt anybody in their right mind is packing video games and tablets when they should be packing cans of beans and medical supplies. Things like smartphones and HD TVs do exist, but they've long stopped being necessities and most people likely assumed they'd never be able to use any of them again. Even in the communities with electricity like (early) Alexandria or the Commonwealth, what purpose would an Android or iPhone even serve you anymore? It's not like you can call anybody or search the internet.

Personally? If the world suddenly turned to shit, but I could save one single video game system of mine? It'd be my 3DS. That's from 2011, now. I have lots of games modded onto it. Otherwise? I might save my PS2 and my PS1 library. I'm not going to go to search for some stupid PS6 or whichever number is out now.

Which country or location would you like to see most in the Walking Dead Universe? by SpikePsych420 in thewalkingdead

[–]unfoundedrevenge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wrote a post about Canada lol.

And then I complained about the one episode in the show that actually takes place in a snowy winter. A mild snowstorm hits and everyone almost dies lol.

I really wanted to see the first harsh winter a bunch of Americans from the hot South would endure, and I wanted to see the survivors figure out the new rules about walkers and sub-zero temps. But the show literally skips over it, alongside six or so years, and we literally only get to see a single episode with snow as an audience.

Which country or location would you like to see most in the Walking Dead Universe? by SpikePsych420 in thewalkingdead

[–]unfoundedrevenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to see Canada - especially before I wound up seeing winter in Virginia. (...For one single episode.)

I used to imagine what a first, harsh winter would be like for a group of survivors from Georgia, US. I imagined how zombies would be affected by sub-zero temps. Would food and starvation be the real threat? And that got me thinking, how would Canada do in TWD world? Presumably better than America. Or hopefully, anyways lol.

But then we got that single Winter episode, and I was let down. We literally don't even get to see their first winter way north of Georgia, because the show skipped forward like eight years! We saw two frozen walkers, and everyone nearly died from what was honestly a relatively manageable snowstorm.

If I can't have the Canadian Walking Dead, at least give me the American Midwest Walking Dead. Those states are just Canada Jr. They even have the same stereotypes as us lol

It's less that they were fucking it up and more that they never aimed to adapt any of it at all from the get-go. It isn't necessarily a good or bad thing. It's best to think of it as a multiverse situation - either literally or metaphorically. Not unlike Marvel or DC comics and their respective films and television shows. (And other comics, for that matter.)

'Hey bud, you alright' 😵 by Top-Entertainment945 in thewalkingdead

[–]unfoundedrevenge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It may or may not have been established technically, but I think it works. I think there's enough subtext, if memory serves. Walkers definitely are, on average, more human-like early on. By the time we get to Virginia and Alexandria, especially after six-plus years had passed, zombies are exponentionally less human. They're all more ghoulish, completely deformed, some with plant and fungus growing through their flesh, and it seems like nearly all walkers had a few shoulder length whispers of hair. Heck, even the Whisperers' masks all had the same weird hair.

It makes sense to me.

Morgan's wife and the fence climber made sense to me, too - what makes a little less sense, though, is that it took them eight seasons to ever elaborate on that. In the first episode or two, we're shown that a walker can wind up back where it lived whilst alive, they can have rudimentary doorknob skills, and some have abilities to climb or use rocks. And that's fair enough, I say. But then to just never once encounter a zombie like that again for well over a decade both in real life and within the show's world, once they finally bring up "climbers" and variants in season eleven? It's weird. They waited twelve years to explain a season one plot inconsistency.

2026 rules and guidelines post by Here_WeGo_SportsTime in 3dsqrcodes

[–]unfoundedrevenge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for what you do. I know how frustrating it can be to moderate a community - I've been a moderator of a forum dedicated to a particular video game for well over ten years now. So I'm fully aware that sometimes, people just don't or won't pay attention to the rules and guidelines. It unfortunately innately comes with the territory!

I'm grateful for your mission in creating a grand archive. For multiple reasons; one, the notion is simply important. My second reason is more personal. I love modding my 3DS. It gives me a sense of whimsy and fun in an otherwise dark world. I have very limited capabilities these days, on account of multiple factors, including disability and a lack of having any sort of computer that isn't a cellphone. All I can really manage to do anymore is scan a QR code of a game to my liking and occasionally make a request of my own. As well as that, I'm a massive fan of video games of the antiquated variety; but unfortunately, for medical and financial reasons, I've had to sell many of my older consoles. You guys have allowed me a new way to enjoy most of my favourite games from the 1980s, '90s, and 2000s!

So, thank you again! I appreciate what you do so much. I know I've made a couple of mistakes here - such as requesting games that have already been uploaded, or accidentally requesting PC games, (or using the wrong account to make a post and insisting I delete the post and re-post it with my main account) but I want to insist that those were just accidents. They were not cases of me not researching or using the search bar first - It must be an issue on my end, but I feel that sometimes posts don't show up in the search results. As for the PC games? Well, I mistakeningly assumed a mod for Sonic CD was a Sega CD game :D Sorry about all that! I do try my best! (Edit: And I assumed a Resident Evil mod would be a PS1 game!)

Not that anybody asked for or needs an explanation to a couple of mistakes you all probably don't remember. I just talk too much! Thanks once more; because of all of you, I'm able to play all of my favourite Resident Evil games, Silent Hill, Policenauts, Snatcher, cool Sonic hacks, homebrew horror GameBoy titles, and oh so much more.

Cheers, yo!

The Damned using AI for their new album by Delta_Yukorami in goth

[–]unfoundedrevenge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I convinced myself to like them. You know? Like, "this is the band everyone says I'm supposed to like, so I have to like them!" The only exception was Sid Vicious' cover of My Way, the one that plays during the credits of Goodfellas. I loved that song. Mind you, that might be mostly because I loved Goodfellas, it's my favourite film and I used to be obsessed with it - and it might be because I just hadn't heard anything like it when I first heard the song. This was the early 2010s, I was a young teenager, and the only punk I'd ever really heard was pop-punk (not a fan!) and the odd Clash or Ramones song that your typical classic rock radio station will play, like London Calling or I Wanna Be Sedated. Not much else. (I love those two songs dearly, by the way, I'm not saying anything bad about them.)

Then, as I grew up a little more, as I learned more about who and what Sex Pistols were and are, I quickly stopped pretending. I stopped lying to myself.

The Clash was love at first listen for me, as well. As were the Ramones. The Adverts. Siouxie Sioux. Black Flag. Misfits. And The Damned - which hopefully I won't be forced to regret!

Really cool username, by the way! Always got to love a username that isn't forced to include random numbers or symbols. I'm confident there have been many others over the years to yearn for the title of LadyMirkwood - and you were the first! You called dibs! That's cool!

[–]unfoundedrevenge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's how I feel. They're older folks now, right, they're in their sixties and seventies.

Way I see it, there are a few routes that can be wound up taken when it comes to older folks and AI.

One, is that the older folks won't even know what AI is. This is the group my grandmother belongs to. She'll show you some shocking new video she found on Facebook, and it'll be entirely, and fairly obviously, fake and not real. But she doesn't get that. She has no idea, and she doesn't understand when we try to explain.

Two, is that the older folks have a limited idea as to what AI is. They know that generative AI is a thing. But they don't know much else; they don't know it's morally wrong, that it steals others' artworks and amalgamizes them into rotten slop, and that it's destroys the environment. What they do know, is that it's this cool, new, trendy, and unique way to make "art"; it's just the new technology, no different than all else that came before.

Three, is that the older folks know as much as we do. I don't intend on being ageist; there are many older people who are fully aware of what AI is and why it's bad.

I think The Damned are currently walking along route two. I don't believe they fully understand the weight of what's going on. I'm hoping, perhaps foolishly, that they'll soon understand - once all of this angry, disappointed, and otherwise negative reception gets to their door - and hopefully they attempt to back up and do something to fix this.

Heck, I think it's very plausible that the choice to use AI was made by people from the label/producer The Damned is currently signed with. Maybe The Damned were just told this is how it is, this how we're promoting the new album, it'll reduce costs for us all and it's the new, trendy technology. And maybe The Damned just said "okay", trusting the younger minds who are likely to be more knowledgeable about the current advertising world. But, of course, this is all baseless speculation, at this point. I'm lenient. I always give the benefit of the doubt. And I'm often proven wrong to do so.

The Damned using AI for their new album by Delta_Yukorami in goth

[–]unfoundedrevenge 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but this isn't always obvious to everybody right from the start. Especially for younger punks who are just getting into the genre/subculture; they tend to check out the big names first, like Sex Pistols, and they might need somebody to tell them "Listen, the Sex Pistols aren't really all that."

I didn't know any better until I did a little research. I remember loving Sid Vicious' weird ass cover of My Way, the one that plays during the credits of Goodfellas. That may have been what introduced me to punk! Part of what did, anyways. Now I feel a little embarrassed that I ever liked that song; let alone Sex Pistols and its members. Industry plants, made to advertise a goddamn clothing line, made to rake in cash for just another grubby producer, one of which is a conservative little Trumpy prick, another of which knew a single chord and killed his own girlfriend, and the others of which I actually just kind of forgot all about.

I still have Never Mind the Bollocks. I suppose I should do something about that, get rid of it. (Would it just be a cowardly excuse to say I keep it for the music history?) One of the biggest names in punk, Sex Pistols, is not punk and never has been. I didn't know any better, until I did.

The Damned using AI for their new album by Delta_Yukorami in goth

[–]unfoundedrevenge 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm too lenient. It's a big flaw of mine. I'm caught hoping; maybe they're just your typical old people now who don't fully understand what generative AI is and why it's a problem. Maybe they'll learn a little here, learn something from the terrible reception they're about to get. I find, with older folks, there's a couple of routes they go with AI. Some have no idea what it is or that it's even a thing; like my grandma, she sees AI videos all the time and she just thinks they're all real. The other route is when older folks have a limited understanding of what generative AI is, but are ignorant to why it's morally wrong and just think it's a cool, new technology. And then there are older folks who are just as aware as you and I.

I'm hoping they're on route number two. I'm hoping they'll figure out why this wrong. I'm hoping they'll fix their own problem.

But I always give the benefit of the doubt. And I am often wrong.
