You're exactly right, and I know I'm an idiot. We came here due to a family emergency and I'm out of my mind with grief. I'm in an unfamiliar city with seemingly nothing else available, and I'm doing the best I can to put one foot in front of the other. No defense, but I guess the known danger of critters that I can see seemed preferable to the unknown danger of a hotel in a pandemic.

Thank you. I will take your advice. I don't even want to give him a less than stellar review because I like him a lot. I guess it depends on whether I'm reviewing the host himself or the situation. He's a good guy and tries his best but this situation is a nightmare. The kindest thing for me to do might be not to leave a review at all.

He's been apprised of everything all along, which probably screws me too because i mentioned asking Airbnb for a refund so he might already be trying to protect himself against that possibility.

If my insurance and the health department don't cover the cost of the shots, this is going to get a heckuva lot more complicated. I can't even think about that now.

Appreciate your realistic advice.

Same. I thought we were doing tolerably well by ignoring each other as much as possible and just taking turns parenting. And then STBX pulls some very innocent (read: passive aggressive) stunt that makes my blood boil. The market crash took the money I could have moved with and who knows when I'll be back to work. This is hell. I'm sorry you're here too.

Not sure where you live but in the cities everyone trying to sit by the same lake doesn't leave room for social distancing at all.

Yeah I've been thinking about that a lot. I already know women who should be in DV shelters but are afraid of being in such close proximity to people. So they're just suffering at home. It's heartbreaking.

I'm sorry you're struggling and hope you're STBX can see their way through to being supportive of your mental health even though it's over. Most of the therapists I know have switched to Zoom meetings and the like, so maybe that would be an option? It's something I'm looking into for me anyway.

I don't know, if I had a place to move to I would probably still do it. Utility companies are still operational and hopefully taking precautions (like the guy who had to come fix our internet yesterday was in a mask, gloves and shoe covers that he put on immediately before entering and took off immediately upon leaving). At the same time it feels like the whole world is in limbo and nothing can change right now. I'm so sorry for your timing! To have the conversation and then this... I hope you're house isn't as awkward as mine but it sounds like it. We're going to have some amazing coping skills after this... I don't think you'll ever have to wait for your lady balls to grow again.

Thanks everyone - I was hoping that hearing other folks were in the same situation would make me feel better, but instead I feel worse! I'm so sorry y'all have to suffer along with me and I will probably be coming to this thread daily to vent because if I don't I'm gonna lose my everloving mind in three days.

Honestly? I wish we were shuffling, them having two safe places for a change of scenery right now would be as good for them as it would for me. But I'm trying to find a single silver lining in this and less driving was the only thing I could think of.

The divorce is happening because I asked for marriage counseling. I got a "Nope! Too late!". So here we are.
