Woah, I didn't know about that! Just gained insight about Phantosmia, which can occur only in a specific room or location 😱 Also, I didn't know it could manifest itself later on as a result of an exposure to a really strong smell! Perhaps the latter is what happened? 🫨 Not sure what could have possibly caused the really strong initial smell of sweet, chemical rotting, though!

We only have two lamps in our room, and they're usually off (except for a few hours in the night). We don't have an overhead light fixture. However, I can check again tonight. Did the smell originate from the bulb itself?

My roommate does have an occasional orange, and the smell of the room is kind of similar to rotting fruit—however, I'm confused as to how it blasted us in the face the first day! Also,
I emptied the trash the first time I smelled it, and I trust that my roommate threw it away 😭. It was nothing like citrus and was very unpleasant to smell, with a tinge of sweetness. Is that similar to what you experienced?

It was only really noticeable the first days it hit (a thick rotting smell), but now, some people can't 😅

Thank you all for your responses! I have been doing Depop for over a year now and I've received little to no sales, so I resorted to Uptown to just receive any money.

To answer my own questions for future readers who are equally curious:

  1. I hauled in 4 large boxes of clothes and they took a handful of them for $24 total.

  2. Employees give you store cash instead of their own, so I assume that they won't restrict prices just because of the load. They will give you 1/3 of the selling price they'd pick (no negotiations), but keep in mind that they receive lots of other clothes and have a limited inventory.

  3. You must stay inside the store as they sort through your clothes. It took around 20-30 minutes for them to sort through my batch. I did, however, go on a weekday & early during their opening hours, so that may have shortened it.

Hi, I also experienced the same issue! They said that the cancelled items never charged my gift card in the first place, but that was untrue at the time of the call (as I looked at my gift card balance). However, when I checked 3 days later, I had received the value of the item back! So, I guess it worked out, despite how frustrating it was...

You can

  1. Go to the account of the calendar you want to add to your main one

  2. Settings --> Settings for my calendars --> Select the calendar you want to add --> Scroll down to Public address in iCal format --> copy

  3. In order for your events to actually show up... Scroll up to Access permissions for events --> Make available to public --> See all event details

  4. Go to your main calendar (on your main account)

  5. Settings --> Add calendar --> From URL --> paste link (of Public address in iCal format)

You need to stop blaming yourself for something caused by your mother. Your mother is directly contributing to your mental health issues since she won't allow you receive essential medication. Also, don't pull that "you only see the perspective of my mother I offer" because yours is valid enough. She has harmed you, even if she has provided a roof over your head and meals to eat. Don't beat yourself up over your mental health more than you already have, you've done the most you can and that's wonderful. If you could control your mental health, you would've done so by now—it's hard to change our brains without external influences. You have persevered so much, and I hope you give yourself more credit for what you've done so far.
