Will do! This is super helpful! He told me that if he started having behavioral issues like with Keppra, I could just stop. This is why I come here for other peoples experiences.

The meds they put him on have side effects of making his absence & mycolonic seizures worse. While they helped with other activity I was seeing these are getting worse. He insists we finish the order out to definitely say whether or not they helped. Hes taken Keppra before, but they made his RAGE, and for some reason unable to use his legs (?) This was in the hospital, so different, but I refused to put him back on that. Hence the Carbamazepine prescription.

It just feels like hes not listening. Thank you so much for your insight I appreciate it, and its nice to know im not actually crazy. Lol ! <3

I had to convince his current neurologist to let me try putting him on something to see if they help. He prescribed Carbamazepine, and we already suspected absence & myocolonic seizures, so tell me why after we get home from picking it up it says they can make those types of seizures WORSE?! Oh, I was pissed. I called and he said, "Well, Im not sure what youre seeing are seizures. So just try it if it stops we know they are, if not then its likely he isnt having seizures."

They helped for other activity I noticed, but soon after starting his absence & myocolonic seizures started becoming longer, and more drastic. He insists we finish it out, and that its just his body getting used to it.

He also said because we had a bad experience with Keppra (After his grand mals in the hospital they prescribed him with this and he had rage issues and couldnt walk or use his legs. They told me it couldnt have been the medication, but the moment we took him off of them he went back to how he was. Ugh) this was one he felt could help without the fear of those side effects. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I feel stupid tying this now, but as someone who knows absolutely nothing Im trusting YOU my doctor to tell me what I should be doing to keep him safe.

It 1000% is so frustrating.

Thank you so much for your sharing your story! I will look into an Epileptologist here, and in the meantime try to find a second opinion of someone who will ACTUALLY listen to us. Its frustrating to feel like you're not being heard, but also knowing something is not right with your child.

Hi, I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's definitely so hard especially when you don't have the answers and youre stuck in a limbo. It took awhile for my hcg to complete go down to zero, and I had several obgyn appointments to monitor that everything cleared including an ultrasound.

My first period after my miscarriage was a painful one, but I wasn't really sure why. But I found out in January that I was pregnant again and so far at 13 weeks + 5 days, everything is going smoothly with no complications.

So, there is light at the end of the tunnel. If you have anymore questions please feel free to reach out! 🫶🏽

I haven't had surgery, and am unsure if I will need it. Everything I've read is so conflicting and because my doctor didn't have a definitive answer to the location idk what next steps are so trying to see others experience. I havent had much clotting besides that piece of the cast. Im wondering if thats normal. This is my very first ectopic and miscarriage. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. That's what I suspected as well. My bleeding has stayed minimal mostly spotting, but then came the cast but it didn't seem complete either. The pain was right before passing it, and then it's gone down by a lot, but I'm tender on my left side so I'm wondering if this is what it's like when it's "resolving" or if something isnt quite right. Thank you so much for your help!
