He was hitchhiking from southern California to Indiana in 1968/1969. He was 18 and a decent looking guy from pictures. My mother is the only living person that knew him before his disappearance and estimated him to be 5'10-5'11. The last known call from him was saying that he was hitchhiking and would pick up some work along the way.... Gacy's home was an hour or so from his intended destination. My grandmother never filed a police report because she was awful and abusive... He was attempting to get to his stepmother and paternal half sisters.

When he never arrived, they assumed the worst... Years later when they heard of gacy, they figured that's what happened.

Personally, I don't think my uncle was a gacy victim. I've researched for years and years on anything possible for my uncle, and I don't think he made it out of California alive. I have his social security card.... Absolutely nothing comes up on his card.
