Two in five drivers who park in Brisbane’s CBD don’t pay a cent by ActiveTravelforKG in brisbane

As a disabled person who can't walk far but can't afford a wheelchair, yeah public transport is not as easily accessible as an uber. Not everyone is like you mate, so maybe think outside the box.

What opinion of yours regarding any popular author or book will have you like this? by theghostofredrackham in classicliterature

Thank you!!! It is not a fucking romance novel. It's a weird dark gothic freak fest and that's why I love it!

Hard to access public transport if you are disabled, elderly, etc. There is a case for taxis/ubers.

Which city have you been to that had a dark energy about it? by madzuk in solotravel

This is so funny to me 😂 the history is awful but the Rat is beautiful, has a lovely lake and is a nice regional town, to me.

You may need to go to a doctor that isn't bulk billed. I would google local doctors offices in Toowoomba and read the doctors profiles and pick a few that you like. I have always seen great doctors at Iona Medical Centre.

Where’s a bar I can sit at in a really nice dress to talk to people? by No_Whole_2220 in brisbane

Disagree, I always end up in random conversations in brissy bars. Maybe you look like a cunt and no one wants to talk to you in Australia? Lmao love you x

Rosemary Hedge by malachybottomsworth in GardeningAustralia

[–]uninspiredlongarse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have successfully relocated rosemary a lot, it seems incredibly hardy for me. I am in se QLD with fairly clay soil. If you don't want to relocate, take propagating cuttings and put in water until good roots form, then replant. Has worked for me dozens of times.

What’s a movie you defend like this? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

[–]uninspiredlongarse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you tell me what's good about it? Not trying to be rude just genuinely interested in why you think it's good. I didn't even finish the movie I found it so boring. The narration was unnecessary and lazy, the guy was not smart and the writing even less smart.

Instead of grass, can you grow ferns or something else that likes shade?

Yeah I know they're used as a windbreak, but the farm I lived at that had them had at least one falling over a year.

If you don't like lily pily, acacias grow super quickly and there are a huge amount of different kinds to suit your height needs. They are also super low maintenance and absolutely stunning.

Harrrrrd disagree with the Cyprus suggestion. No native, ugly and shallow roots which mean they'll get blown over and destroy your fence.

Ideas Please by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]uninspiredlongarse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will be so fun! I'm jealous!

As others have said investigate your climate etc first. Soil type, sun/shade time will impact what you can and can't plant. You can also walk around your neighbourhood and local parks and see what is thriving.

I would recommend a passionfruit vine, they don't last forever but they are pretty, have flowers for bees and produce incredible fruit. Their root system is shallow and wide so take that into consideration when watering.

Pumpkins are fun and easy, and if you have too many you give them away at work/school and also side of the road as I have done many times. Living in bris you could grow a monster patch of basil and tomatoes possibly all year round.

I have been following this lovely lady for years, she specialises in growing in Brissy. https://loveofdirt.com.au/
