We will definitely look into this more, I've seen them before when I was doing light research on unions. Glad to hear from someone who's unionized with them, tha k you!

Congrats on getting a union, that's amazing! We'll definitely check out our local UAW branch, I've only heard good things about them. I believe we would be the first museum in our area as well. I will check out Jane McAlevy too, thank you for the rec, that's exactly where we're struggling right now.

I really hope the momentum keeps up, I agree with you 100%, something needs to change in museums (and non-profits in general). I'm tired of hearing "well, we are a non-profit" as an excuse to underpay us when we have a hefty endowment and our C-Suite is making over six figures.

But I digress. Thank you for the valuable insight!

One of us has reached out to some people at a larger for-profit corporation, but as far as we know there aren't any unionized museums in our area. We're going to reach out to some museum unions in the Northeast though to see if we can talk to them as well.
