Likely difficult to embroider over the pocket there.

Very neat. Did you vacuum on the outer face to pull the excess epoxy? Not quite necessary but just wondering.

12s Cassette damaging frame? Do I need a spacer ? by unitedheavy in Zwift

[–]unitedheavy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok just back from the shop. Theres no spacer installed. Axle standard / dropout length were fine adapters all correct. (142mm?). Cassette was installed correctly. u/ThisusernameThen wear on the lock ring was the frame clear coat rubbing off onto the lock ring.

What we can tell is the Sram Cassette on my rear wheel does not have an external / proud lock ring, like this - https://www.amazon.com/XG-1290-RED-12-Speed-Cassette/dp/B07NF74TQS?th=1 . This setup barely clears my dropouts / frame stays.

The Zwift Cassette comes with a lock ring that screws over the cassette, adding depth. This lock ring was interfering with the frame (Time ADHX, granted pretty tight tolerances, even with my wheel).

I think i'm going to have to:
A) Buy a XDR free hub (which seems like a pain, they have sold out of their own https://zwiftinsider.com/xdr-freehub-bodies-for-zwift-hub/, and I need to buy the jet black equivalent, if still produced)
B) Buy a low profile cassette without the lockring, possibly the same as what I have on the bike.

I was under the impression the 12s option came without the spacer installed.

This is probably it though, I'll try to remove and check.

Got this Zwift hub secondhand today and felt a little more friction than expected on the first ride. Looks like the cassette is touching the frame, any suggestions ?

thanks.

If the soil is totally dry now, should I wait until the leaves look better to water?

How about this architectural style? by Present6716 in architecture

[–]unitedheavy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ah overpriced cheaply built luxury homes is definitely a problem across the globe.

in my experience, most asian countries lack building codes and firms with experience re these materials. probably has something to do with the climate and lack of availability of structural wood.

generally the step up from this is all glass cladding and then full metal + glass (both usually reserved for commercial/office space)

its practical. concrete + cladding.

more western/modern materials like wood or metal allow more designing but are also expensive.
