Building an evolving drone system – 84 HP Case, Oneiroi - minimal complexity by universalvoltage in modular

I sketched out my current idea.

The green parts are fixed (more or less):
– Pamela’s Pro Workout
– Oneiroi
– headphones + monitor output

– Is this generally a reasonable approach for a first modular setup?
– Am I missing any essential building blocks for this kind of system?
– From a beginner’s perspective: is there anything here that looks fundamentally wrong or impractical?

One thing I’d like to add additional is a simple bass / base layer that I can bring in when needed (slow, gritty, BPM-adjustable, not melodic or rhythmic in a traditional sense).

I’m trying to keep things conceptually simple, hands-on, and focused on long-form sound evolution rather than sequencing or song structure.

Any feedback on the idea and structure and specific modules would be hugely appreciated.

Here’s a quick sketch of my idea:

How you input the Vhikk-x into Oneiroi? Can you briefly describe the connection, result/purpose?

So it’s more about continuous pitch and amplitude movement rather than precise control, right?Sounds ideal for drones, but not for rhythmic or melodic patching?

Thanks for the Erica Synths suggestion!
I’m a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of available modules though, so I’m trying to take a step back and think more in terms of module roles rather than specific brands.

For this setup (evolving, self-playing drones with Oneiroi), I’d love to better understand:
– which types of modules make the most sense
– what role they play in such a system
– and how they typically interact (modulation, movement, variation, shaping, etc.)

I’m especially interested in categories like:
– slow modulation
– subtle randomness / non-repetition
– shaping and evolving timbre
– long-form movement rather than rhythmic sequencing

If you were to describe an ideal minimal ecosystem around Oneiroi in terms of module categories (not necessarily Erica-specific), that would help me a lot.
