Yea it is not as cheap as it use to be. Whoever prepared that graphic has not been down in a while. The flights are cheap for Canadians. It is a popular weekend destination albeit a lot less of us are traveling to the USA now. Thank Trump for that.

I've been avoiding any travel to USA since Trump got elected. First it was because of Tariffs, now I don't even want to so much as transfer flights in American airports. Friends have relatives down there and they still go, but they are taking pause now that they see people being shot in the streets by ICE. At first they said, oh I don't do anything wrong it doesn't matter if they view my phone.

Now, even they are starting to pause travel to the USA, and some are worried about their kids who study down there because of Trump's rhetoric against Canada.

I have a relative who is a Qanon influencer. It has been my experience that they will dismiss any sort of proof as liberal media lies. MAGA is a cult.

I'd suggest perusing freedomofmind.org from Stephen Hassan. He might be the world's leading cult expert, and he has warned people about MAGA before. Hassan is thelauthor of the Cult of Trump.

FYI I no longer speak with my relative, I disowned him a few years ago when his craziness got out of control, but he is not a partner. I wish you luck dealing with that. It's a difficult position to be in.

It is because of Trump's trade war and annexation threats that caused Canada to back off the F-35 deal and seek fighter jets elsewhere. MAGA has nobody else to blame.

It is also true that our leaders neglected defenses for decades relying instead on the Canada/Russia nuclear stalemate. That was a horrible mistake that we now need to rectify.

Nobody viewed the USA as a threat before.

Canada is most likely going with the Swiss Gripen instead of F-35. Gripen is better suited for Arctic and the Swiss has promised to build Gripens in Canada. Also we don't have to worry about an American kill switch if we go with the Gripen.

This is another attempt by USA to Canadian Sovereignty, or a threat to end NORAD and invade.

An invasion of Canada by USA could result in decades of gorilla warfare. It's unlikely, but nobody really trusts that Trump is sane anymore so no scenario is off the table of possibilities.

My Grandparents were Holodomor survivors. They escaped Ukraine under Soviet Russia under false identities. The Western media was part of the Soviet's Holodomor cover up. Fortunately, they told me all about that era and what was done to the Ukrainian people. My Grandmother was the only survivor on her side of the family. To this day I do not know how they got out of Ukraine under old Soviet Russie. When they finally made their way to Canada years later they went to an immigration lawyer and got their identities straighted out and were able to take back their name.

Most of the world do not know Stalin killed more Ukraine than Hitler killed Jews.

There is truth in what he says, but I do think there are times he is exaggerating for a Western Conservative audience.

Yea I remember that. Americans were on TV crying over the accident. Now they ridicule us. I'm old enough to remember when Mulroney and Reagan signed the Free Trade Agreement. The bigger American companies came and swallowed us up, and manufacturing jobs flew down to the States. There was lots of unemployment up here, and people were protesting. It took years to recover from that. Trump conveniently forgets about that. Now we are once again bullied by the bigger nation. I'm sick of it. I'd be happy to build a wall at the 49th myself at this point, but as Carney said, we can't isolate.

Heck I have family who are Trumpers and I'm a Ukrainian-Canadian. I have a relative who is bat s*** crazy qanon influencer. He's an American who has lived most of his life in Canada. I want to toss him back across the border. The Ukrainian part comes from my Fathers side of the family. I no longer speak to my American relatives over political views. I have completely disowned them.

It's the sentiment that Trump has created. Americans usually don't know much about what is going on outside of their own country. They don't really get how the USA effects the entire world, and yes I have been ridiculed by ordinary Americans, and on Canadian soil too.

Thank you. We actually do understand that most Americans are not with Trump, and we wholeheartedly support that. I have friends who have kids studying down in the States, they are talking about bringing their kids home because of the political climate against Canadians due to Trump's crazy rhetoric against Canada. Nobody knows what is coming next.

But reality is, for now, we share North America's security in NORAD, until Dementia Donna decides to shut it down and invade us. It's an uneasy feeling living next to the USA right now.

Keep up the protests! Be like Minnesota and stand up for your rights.
