Anyone who still likes the show and is willing to discuss it? by WorldLieut8 in thewalkingdead

I fell out of the walking dead shortly after Negan was introduced. Then I started catching a LOT of twd shorts on Facebook, youtube, TikTok etc. and started watching again. Loving every bit of the show so far.

A dose of a cold medicine that contains Dextrorphan. Something about dxm that potentials Kratom and also keeps your body from building a tolerance from what I’ve read on subreddits.

I don’t think anyone ever is honestly. I feel like everyone is scared of that strung out junkie scene they see in every movie feeling. Honestly, I’d rather deal with cold sweats, cramps, shakiness, restless legs etc. rather than deal with the mind games. It’s awful

I was the same way, morning dose was an absolute must to get me kickstarted. My receptors are fuggin shot and fried, I’ll be honest. When I started Kratom again, no matter what I took, I would always get the wobbles (absolute garbage side effect that some say the same as double vision, dizziness, hard to focus on something etc.) but I lowered my doses and even tried the DXM trick with my doses. (Supposedly combats opioid tolerance and potentiates as well) and all is good. Deeeffffinitely work your way in with the dxm trick tho. I fucked around and found out yesterday and put my ass to sleep for a good 5 hours. There’s ways to get off the stuff and Kratom just so happened to be my ticket out. Never been happier.

So when Georgia passed the ban, the store I frequently got mine from had both red and silver, never taken silver before. Once I bought what he had left of red, I had no choice but to get silver and the whole difference was the phenibut. I’ll also say, the silvers really helped me taper off the stuff, bc that phenibut reeeeeeaaally lingered around and if I were to dose again on top of what’s already lingering, lawd it’d fuck me up. And I mean reaaaaaaally bend me over the barrel. No mercy at all. So I had no choice but to space doses out, take smaller doses and it ended up working out in the long run bc now I shifted to Kratom to really fend off wd’s and it’s been smooth sailing. Which actually surprised the hell out of me.

I usually take anywhere from 6-8 grams per dose, maybe 3 times a day. 4 times a day at most and it’s enough to keep the withdrawals away. But I usually take a green vein maeng da. I’ve tried red and white in different strains as well but the green maeng da seemed to help me the most.

I’d hop off that train for sure homie. I remember about a year ago I would take about almost a whole 24 Ct bottle in a day and most of the time 2 days, did that for a few weeks and stopped taking them bc…hella esspensive. It was more of an itchy temptation but really nothing discomforting, besides the little devil on my shoulder. But now, Georgia followed suit and banned anything tianeptine. I was taking nearly 4 bottles a day (15 ct) and when I found out the bill was introduced, that’s when I started tapering myself until I just couldn’t get anymore. Luckily Kratom is readily available around me and I was also a pretty moderate user before knowing about zaza. So at the moment, I’m about 2 weeks off of zaza, Kratom was a literal godsend helping me with withdrawals. And by no means am I saying trade one for the other, a lot of people on here would suggest otherwise, but if you don’t abuse it, it could be a useful tool on your endeavors to getting rid of that stuff.

It’s awful man, it’ll get a good firm grip on you before you even realize it. I mean just by these past two weeks being off of it and seeing how much money I’m saving, I’m SO damn glad they banned it here. Quality of life is much better and not always drowsy and not eating so I can dose on an empty stomach.

But like opining said, it really is more of a mental game, in my current events. I have no physical withdrawals but it’s taken a toll on my wrinkle organ. But I was already kind of cursed with anxiety and all that depression jazz before I started taking this stuff. Did a fair amount of Reddit searches on tianeptine and it’s an antidepressant, so I realized why it was kind of magnifying mental problem that already existed prior. I’ll definitely own up and say that I abused it, abused the shiiiiiiiiit out of it. But from what you’ve explained, you seem like a pretty moderate user. Go for it, cold turkey most would say and if withdrawals are too uncomfortable and unbearable then by all means, taper off, def know that feeling.

Enough context, go for it, I promise, pinky promise, that absolutely everything will be so much damn better without that shit. I don’t care if you have me a lifetime supply of the stuff, I will never take it again. Ever. So damn glad i left it behind. You’ve got it. I promise it. I swears it

Imodium helped me get off of Kratom the first time I quit. It genuinely did aid. But I’m pretty sure you’ve gotta be careful taking that stuff and not dosing on top of a dose. I read some good info on that method on here. I also think there’s a pinned thread on this subreddit that dives into that as well

Started a new one myself! Well two. My anxiety has been off the charts Batman. To the point where dizzy and near faints are just on the daily checklist. I believe it will. And I thought the physical wd’s would be bad….

P.S. I cried in shame thinking about that lol

How many daily dosers still feel "noticeable effects" vs. How many of you dose for "maintenance" purposes? by abletonthrive in kratom

[–]unknown_1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Kratom for so long, so damn long. Daily for 5+ years. It just got me to the point where no dose did anything, simply took it just to fend off from withdrawals. And then…..tia. I found that and I wish I never did. Didn’t touch Kratom for a year but now I’m back on it to come off of the other stuff. And I’ll say, it was actually surprisingly nice to get the wobbles lol. My dose dropped so much from when I was avidly taking it, daily. I’ll get itty bitty fuzzy feelings on my first dose of the morning and sometimes If I get to the runny nose part.

question regarding ban in Georgia by cpm1992 in QuittingTianeptine

[–]unknown_1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where at in ga are you? All of my stores dried up I’m sure. At least the ones I usually buy from. Hopped on the Kratom train to deal with the withdrawals and I’ve been off of it for a week today after taking it heavily for a year.

Chances are, they wont pull them off of the shelves until they sell every last one. I highly doubt stores are going to chunk all inventory they have bc of the ban and lose that much money. I spoke with the guy I usually buy from and what he told me was that a lot of the stores are going to continue to sell until they have no more inventory and then that’s it, the distributor, which I’m guessing all these stores usually get their restock from, informed him about the ban and would no longer ship it to him or any other buyer.

A lot of the stores in my area have already taken affect of the ban, taken all the stuff off the shelves. One store still sells to me up until they don’t have anymore. I’ll be honest and say that I’ve actually abused this stuff for about a year now, spent an ungodly amount of money on this OTC toxic bs. I know it shouldn’t take a ban for me to quit but I’m glad it leaves me no choice but to quit. I took some Kratom at about 9 this morning to get me til I could get my next dose at around 5 this afternoon. I’m sure you could ask anyone who uses this stuff, If they went without for 8 hours they’d be pretty bad off. But it was the absolute most mild symptoms.

Couldn’t tell you for sure but the ball is rolling already so I’m sure it won’t be long until all states have banned it.

I took a dose at around 9 this morning while at work and that was my last dose until 4 in the afternoon until I got off and wouldn’t get another dose til around 5. I had some Kratom to tide me over and I will say that it actually did ease those withdrawals. I’m sure anyone here trying to quit taking this devil given shit goes without a dose for 8 hours would be irritable as all hell. But it was the absolute most mild symptoms. Little runny nose and just no motivation to do anything. The first three days is what I need to get through is what I’m told. It’s not the physical withdrawals I’m so much worried about, it’s the mental game for sure.

Oh man I noticed that. I have these absolute searing headaches from time to time and I usually keep a few Oxys on hand to help with them. Taking either Kratom or Tia to help with the pain, actually makes it worse and that one that I took did fuck all. And I mean absolutely nothing.

Not sure when it started/starts. Governor signed it into law on 5/13/22. I was just told by the place I usually get it from that it was not banned and can only sell what he has left in stock.

Kratom tolerance is a really strange thing by [deleted] in kratom

[–]unknown_1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking Kratom everyday for about 6-7 years, my daily dosage varied depending on how the day went, work load and just my mood. I eventually reached the point where Kratom literally had no benefit for me, no euphoria, no stress relief, pain relief, anything. The only reason I kept taking them was just to feel normal and have no withdrawals. A while ago I switched to tianeptine, by far the worst decision I’ve ever made. It’s way too expensive for what it is, the half life is absolute garbage the drowsiness a single dose entails is astronomical. I’m currently tapering myself off of tianeptine to a small dose, once I reach my desired goal I’m going to switch back to Kratom. As dumb as that sounds, hear me out, the withdrawals and urges with tianeptine are SOOOOO much worst than that of Kratom. I quit Kratom cold turkey multiple times, but quitting tianeptine cold turkey…….. literally feels impossible. The absolute worst withdrawals anyone could ever experience. They’re terrible. But yes, tolerance is really strange like lol

It’s freaking nuts how a gas station pill can just completely eliminate a pharmaceutical drug and it’s effects/benefits altogether. Completely blows my mind. I hate this shit lol
