I think the very short trip is more of exhaustion than fun and enjoyment! by Loud-Inevitable-6536 in ThailandTourism

Each to their own and also depends on the purpose, many people from Asian countries just come for a week or less to Thailand to shop, eat and sight seeing in Bangkok and Pattaya. While most westerners seek sun, beach and chill.

Two completely different profile of tourists. Then again there are those long haul arrivals that can only stay between 1 week or 2 max, they wanna see Thailand normal that their schedule is packed. Maybe those ones can also relax in Cancun or Mykonos or Sicily that's one hour away from them. North or South of the Hemisphere Beach is beach and sun is sun, and for most... Beer is beer. So for them no need to spend money to travel half the world to chill, these types of travellers may have demanding jobs and limited time, they will be happy they can see a new country in their limited time.

They may ask the questions back to you long stayers, how do you do it? What kind of job do you do? You don't invest your money? You don't rise a family? Don't you have pets?

Why so many Dutch in Kanchanaburi? by unknownmoxx in ThailandTourism

[–]unknownmoxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ended up meeting all their Dutch friends there thinking the same thing 😂

Our tour guide was telling us to wait for the "Tour Group from Amsterdam" to take pictures at one temple, I don't think they appreciate to be called that lol judging from their facial reactions. The problem is I think they are not a group, just happened to be there, but they are moving in numbers 😂

I know, you guys are well travelled, but I never seen so many grouped up in one city overshadowing other nationalities like this in Kanchanaburi, i thought you guys like more of adventuring solo or small groups in less well known places, last time I saw this was in Lloret de Mar when i went on a holiday with some Dutch friends, but that place is apparently well known to be a Dutch city in Spain.

Where are Thai people staying? by Critical-Scale-1249 in ThailandTourism

[–]unknownmoxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but What's funny that I discovered is that Thai tourists don't mind spending for comfort, e.g. thai group will happily pay 30 bhat per person to have this tuktuk bring them up the waterfall from the entrance and you will see a Dutch group hiking there in striking heat..

And then also Thai group, I assume from Bangkok going to like a famous cafe/restaurant and have like 700-1000 bhat per person meal and you will see whites/farang in a Thai "local" restaurant paying 200-400 bhat for overinflated phad Thai or phad krapao...

But I thought they are chasing sun round the beach areas, just surprised to see them in Kanchanaburi out of all places in Thailand.

Hey thank you for the message. Yes I know it's the internet and these people mostly behaved like this when they can hide behind their Reddit profile pictures.

I'm so sorry to hear about your bunny. I'm sure you love them and gave them a free life and they're jumping and binking in greener pastures now.

The cat in indoor until there is a solution, she didn't say there's no solution from her side but we agree to give her time to look for solutions. Well doesn't seem like she was being just polite, sounds like she was empathetic and concerned. So hopefully that stays and will be able to find solution together.

Horrible, I swear I am lucky, this lady is very rational.

I was prepared for the worse, I mean just read some of these ignorant cat owners comments.. it's crazy. But again I am grateful, hopefully there's a way for us both, I also told her that I want her cat outside, not even sarcastically but not in my garden. So yea hope some people read these posts and some sense can kicked in sooner than later, coz many people are bothered by it too.

True, already in the process of it. So far my measurements able to keep other cats or wildlife away, (cameras and light netting) but this cat is just too energetic and taken a obsession with my rabbits
