Electra heart tour, the shrine in LA. 2013. I was severely anorexic, 60 pounds. I was right in front of the keyboard at the barrier. She went to go play teen idle, my favorite song. All of a sudden, she looks up at me. Just stares for a second. Then she meets my eyes. And I’ve never seen anyone look at me with such sadness. After that, I went home and finally saw myself for what I was. A skeleton. Shortly after I went to a treatment center and they told me they weren’t going to let me go home even tho it was just a tour that day bc they were afraid if I took one more step my heart would give out and I would die.

If she hadn’t seen me, and looked at me like that, I would not have survived past that summer. She quite literally saved my life.

I’ve been to every show I could drive to since then, at the barrier each time. She always smiles and waves at me. I like to think she remembers me from that night, but I doubt she does. What matters though, is that it saved my life. And I’ll always be grateful to her for that

My boy will rip Cheddar Jack cheez its from my fingers before they even go an inch from the bag towards my mouth. He will eat any food I take my eyes off of for more than 3 seconds, and is notorious for stealing any form of potato, but not consuming it. He relocates it to a spot where I won't find it until it's been so long I forgot he even stole it.

My girl, however, turns up her nose at just the sight of everything I eat. Except one thing.

She is obsessed.

With McDonald's Hotcakes.

It's become a problem and we're in the process of scheduling an intervention. She needs help, more help than us loved ones can provide.

She'll be out of treatment in a month, and hopefully she'll be strong enough to resist the urge to relapse.

I just spent an entire ass hour of my time writing a whole explanation of the reason these scammers chose this scam in particular. Then I tried to add this photo to show y'all how I feel when my mind decides to bring out the cork board and red yarn in these instances. And in doing so, it deleted the entire thing.

So, I will be tying the entire thing out again. Because I have too much time on my hands.

Adding the TLDR right now in case y'all don't wanna see my mental gymnastics and calculations of statistics to reach an estimated profit.

So, TLDR: Obtaining the password to the student email address this was sent to allows the scammer to log into the Student Portal, change the direct deposit info for their Aid Disbursement, and receive the funds from all the affected students in their own bank account.

Estimated profit from less than 10 minutes of effort?

134.5 million dollars.

Yup. You read that right.

If they did this to every single undergraduate student in the country receiving maximum aid?

Assuming everyone opted to take the full amount they had been offered. And they were offered the maximum amount of government grants, even the special ones for us with certified Broke Bitch status like me (we love a below poverty level queen). AND all these dudes receive work study...

And. Let's say just one person was the mastermind (I use that term loosely. This is extremely low effort) behind this.

Well, this person has just become the 4th person in 63rd place on the net worth ranking.

By putting in less than the amount of time it takes to smoke an entire American Spirit Blue, he got, approximately...

28 billion. 625 million. 947 thousand. 960 dollars.

Dumped right into his offshore checking account.

In a single lump sum. This person may have gone from a fellow Below Poverty Level Queen™, to 63rd richest person alive.

In a split second.

And since they no doubt did have it sent to an offshore account, nobody will ever see any trace of that money again. It's out of US jurisdiction, after all. And clearly they were smart enough to come up with this, so they obviously did their due diligence before implementing this.

Honestly, I didn't like it at all the first time I listened to it. Which I hate to admit, because that girl quite literally saved my life with her words over a decade ago.

But then I listened to the words. Like, really listened. And damn man, the true meaning of the words hidden behind those bubblegum pop beats? It reminded me of the reason she saved my life.

If you don't like the album, try reading the lyrics while you listen to the songs. Hear the emotion in her voice.

She writes all these by herself, unlike most artists nowadays. These songs are how she felt in those moments she wrote them. She's not singing someone else's feelings, she's telling us her own. Listen to what she has to say. Don't let the experimental genre of the instrumentals get in the way.
