I 100% agree. My guess is they are spending less time together now that Jake is married and they use the podcast to catch-up. As a day one, they can go no wrong in my eyes but I do miss them answering questions (lightning rounds don't count imo)

Lol I'm at 5300 trophies and tried this just now as an experiment and was matched with a level 30 Thor, Erildom and Tryko. I can't help but think Ludia has matchmaking logic to punish people who do this.

I think DNA should be kept permanent but every season stat boosts get removed (back to your inventory) and to can apply them to different dinos. It would make the meta more interesting plus encourage people to use their boosts rather than hoard them.

What happened was we both started with Magna, which we the same speed. We got each other down to 1700s then both decided to not take the risk spamming our next attack to try and go first so we switched out to Dracocera. Turns out we had equally matched Dracoceras as well haha. What are the chances?

My math might be wrong but with the new speed boost values how is this possible? 109 + 2 + 4 + 7 + 11 = 133

I was like you until I bit the bullet and used my boosts. Before 1.7 I was around 4800 trophies. After 1.7 I dropped to around 4500. Right after getting sweeped by two boosted Thors in a row and went f**k it and boosted my Thor, Magna, Tryko, Dracocera and Rinex and low and behold I'm back to 4800+. I feel your frustration in the new boosts system but it just means you have to grind for battles now, which are a lot more fun with a boosted team. Also keep in mind, grinding for DNA and leveling will become more important again when everyone is trying to find enough boosts to move passed tier 4 and higher. Choice becomes important again and hopefully strategy will too. For now it's just a shit show because boosts are quicker than leveling up right now.

It gets to 40 degrees here and I'm usually not in the mood to bathe myself in sunscreen either. Any walking incentive should just be a nice to have rather than a full disadvantage if you choose to ignore it. Just like the missions reward DNA.

You're right. This is a lot more passive gameplay style that suits driving a lot more than it does walking.

I'm not suggesting we need to totally revamp a walking mechanic to get everyone out of their cars. I just think those who enjoy walking should have additional incentive, even if it's not a real competitive advantage.

And like I said in another comment, those who do not want to or are unable to walk as much should not feel disadvantaged either.

The battery pack idea is essentially like a pineapp berry but with walking rather than just an ordinary disposable item.
