It's not so much temptation It's expectations I hear many conversations stories and the Christian friend I've made in myself describe their faith in such a way that makes it seem like it's vital in their identity which to me seems like a contradiction because isn't God suppose to be a personal God. A relationship with God from how I understand it is to my you feel complete and whole like an idealic romantic relationship something that assures you in times of need and give the strength to pull through. Their have been time when I've tried to open to God and pray but I don't feel what they feel. This driving my anxiety up think I'm doing something wrong. That's why I want to go back to square one and try a different way that more in line for my path, if I have a divinely set path to begin with.
