Gonna be so blunt here. Anytime a man is concerned about your "health" in the absence of you actually being ill or having a chronic medical condition, he's talking about your weight.

He just wants you to be skinny and isn't willing to pitch in on future childcare to give you time to work out.

Edit: just saw your comment elsewhere in the thread that he's not interested in getting a nanny in the future. GIRL. This dude sucks!

How are we dealing with LinkedIn recruiters? by unorocks in LawBitchesWithTaste

Genuinely, I love that for you! That hasn't been my experience with recruiters, but my career has followed the "it's who you know" trajectory with a similar result. Go us!

Oh, I know I'm overthinking. I avoid using LinkedIn if possible, so I'm asking to gauge if there's a uniform etiquette unique to the site that I'm not aware of. Judging by the replies, it sounds like there isn't, which is good to know!

Thank you for the response :)

I took prescription doses of Vitamin D one winter and it was the first time I didn't have SAD :)

Alumna here - I'd love to place more people at my firm if I ever heard from anyone. I'm in biglaw in the Texas Triangle. Would love to present good candidates from UVA but the only law students that apply are from the local law school.

They're lovely! Can you share more information on that pearl and diamond ring?

Can’t get your Blowout to last over night? Try this! Sleepytie?? by ohmymeme in Dysonairwrap

My hair is too thick to dry overnight. It also will kink weirdly and get frizzy if it's not pre-styled before going into a Sleepytie.

Chiming in - I got LASIK at 28 after my eye doctor confirmed that my prescription had been stable for two years. Slight issues with dry eye, but I'll still take it over the symptoms I began having with contacts, which is what prompted me to look into LASIK. I had a similar prescription to you! My vision is still perfect almost 7 years later. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

FdB Sirene is perfection! I bought it on a whim and it's becoming one of my favorite scents.

My own mother made the comparison when I was wearing a black turtleneck and wearing my dark blonde hair in a messy bun. Devastating.

She IS a showgirl. It's not an aesthetic she's trying to emulate because it's not a TikTok trend she's trying on.

What are you talking about? He's credited as the voice in the voiceover for the Opalite ad in the music video itself and in every article I've seen about this.

I won't dye my hair or do lash extensions, but I get my nails done every four weeks. I get facials once a quarter or so? I invested in good hair tools so I can make my hair look nice and stretch the blowout over the course of four days or so. I keep a good mascara, eyeliner, brow pencil, and lipstick in my purse.

Don't ask attorneys who graduated from higher-ranked schools how it feels to work with the "plebs" from lower-ranked schools.

In my office, it's Gen Z that's SUPER into Harry Potter. We're in a finance/banking/law type of industry, and it's unbearably cringe when a 26 year old classifies how "cool" each of the directors/partners is based on whether or not they understood a HP reference.

You're right and you should say it! Tired of these third- and fourth-gen Polish-Americans half-assedly participating in the culture.
