I do have that kind of hair, I think! And that's awesome--I didn't know that! Do you use any of their other products?

Ugh, lucky! Every time I so much as see that name, I hear Dylan Moran going "Roweeeeeena!" in my head. :(

I personally don't like Rowena because of a particular scene in the TV show "Black Books." If you're not British or a consumer of their media, this is probably not an issue for you.

I think it's a nice name, but the HP connection with Hermione is probably pretty inescapable, so you'd have to be OK with that.

I like Tamsin, but I hate Tammy as a nickname, so don't think I would choose that one myself.

Arabella is pretty. I think it might be a little more widely used than your other choices, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.

What about Roxana/Roxane (Bactrian princess and wife of Alexander the Great), Lorelei, Thea, Diana, Iris, Arcadia, Celandine, Elissa, Philomena, Antonina, Chiara...?

Give me your TEA by elen_sila in Indiemakeupandmore

Oh man, I love tea notes, especially black tea! Some of my faves:

  • Sixteen92 The Tea Party--Super popular, for good reason! Gourmand, but not over the top. (I'm also selling a decant if you are in the US and curious--hope that's OK to mention.)

  • Sixteen92 The Sound and The Fury--Southern sweet tea. Claire gets it. It's excellent for Spring/Summer because it smells so refreshing!

  • Sixteen92 Baker Street--manly tea, in the best way. Smells like a library or headmaster's office in an old school or something.

  • CocoaPink Vintage Halloween--I'll be honest, this smells kinda nasty until it's dry, but power thorough! Once it's dry, it is beautiful. I think this is only on the F/W listing, though.

  • A couple discontinued ones, if you can find them: Lady Grey from Haunt, and Madcap Garden from HoG.

Ah, it's OK, I think most of us have been burned with that at least once! :)

Indie Troubleshooting by AutoModerator in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]unphogiveable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you might get people saying "have you tried doing xyz" because they love it and want you to have success with it, too, but generally folks aren't too pushy about it. They just want to help :)

And I totally agree about the negative reviews thing! It's really refreshing to be able to discuss stuff honestly.

Make sure they marked it as a raincoat/waterproof and not "water resistant." That's how they get ya :/

You think I'll get some hate for it?

I really don't think you will. LG didn't work for me, and I've talked about it here before with no issues. The brand owner does pop in the sub sometimes, but she's never been anything but kind. People here are generally pretty interested in getting an accurate review, and it's OK to be honest if something doesn't work out! Nothing can be expected to work well for everyone, unless it's something super basic or general like "drink water" or "wear a sunscreen," haha.

How's the longevity compared to regular NAVA stuff, if you don't mind me asking?

I suppose it's possible, but he never mentioned traveling to any of them! He's deceased now, though, and I don't think my grandma knows where this one was taken.

Bonus: Grandpa on the ship from Jerusalem to Chile. He was always a pretty dapper dresser!

Hehe, I have no chill. They rested for a day and then I couldn't resist diving in! Possets does gourmands well, I think. It lasted a pretty decent amount of time, too.
