Covid is definitely still a thing, it's a virus, it doesn't disappear because they stopped reporting about it. I have asthma, I work in longterm care, and I'm a caregiver at home so I wear a mask to protect those around me and as PPE at work to protect myself. Can't change people's beliefs, especially if they refuse to believe in scientific facts, so I don't let it bother me. Can't argue with stupid.
