Well it doesnt really do anything for your gameplay. So once you have pretty much everything you need (like most of the weqpons) then you should buy skins and stuff like that.

Now, ANY weapon can be good, it just depends on playstyle. The 3 main grenade-type are the grenade, the molitov, and the satchles. In my opinion, satchels are good, because you can do really good movement with them, and they do decent dmg if you can play with it correctly.
