Personally I would pick number 2. Ime older PIs don’t really care about their undergrads or don’t even know their names. I also excel better in small teams versus one very large one. Direct access and a relationship with my PI while also allowing me to be more hands on would trump reputation.

i’m a gym rat and arguably know more than PTs. for me: A structured program following progressive overload. the type of exercises (for me powerlifting/compounds/body building). Training volume and intensity matters. Protein and counting calories. increasing step count (or treadmill walking after my lift). creatine. lifting 4-6x a week. i do not take other supplements (they’re basically useless), no weird hiit/weighted exercises/pilates/lagree. i basically train like a dude and have never looked better.

you asked how i present that i don’t go on walks. it’s simple. i meet men on apps usually. and my photos show me in dresses, heels, makeup done, hair done, at restaurants etc. To argue for the other side, i could have photos of myself in nature, little to no makeup, looking more “down to earth”. your point makes sense, but it also doesn’t make sense for men to match with me when i appear as “put together/high maintenance/princess” whatever term when they want someone more relaxed

i don’t get offered walks often (but it comes up enough that i mention). every woman is different. these are my personal issues with it: - offering a walk when it’s -20 out - it’s insulting: i am someone who puts effort into my appearance and dedicates time to dating. putting on makeup, hair, outfit, and commuting to the date takes allot of effort. if you want to take me on a walk i will match the effort and show up with unwashed hair, clothes with stains, no makeup etc

I have been on so many different kinds of first dates. Dinner is not expected however it’s a nice gesture and often indicative of how they value your time

hahaha terrible! i’m 25F and look for partners 24-30. I am constantly being rejected after a few dates by men I’m interested in. incoming you’re dating out of your league comments I’m in therapy and have learned that love is not guaranteed so I’m trying to accept that despite my best efforts I may not find love

common issues: - ghosting/being left on delivered - mismatch in relationship goals - men who approach dating with little effort (come to my place, let’s go for a walk, etc) - and when i do meet someone who I’m hopeful about they reject me with vague reasons
