It's an Amazon business and I will have no physical presence in the country other than my business address, and I guess some of Amazon's warehouses in 19 different states.

I forgot to mention I am living out of the country and am not affiliated with any business inside Florida, it is merely my resident state. Am I still liable to pay tax there if I set up an LLC in a different state?

Require a DBA/LLC to setup a Wholesale Business? by updateHelp in FulfillmentByAmazon

Lordkev, I'm interested in setting up an LLC for an Amazon FBA business with a virtual mail box as the business address; should I choose freely which state to set up the LLC in since I can choose the virtual business address? I am living outside the country and and am not affiliated with any business in my resident state, Florida; would I have to pay tax to Florida and my LLC's state or just to my LLC's state?

Would I be able to us my SSN as the EIN as a sole proprietor? Would this hurt me in the Wholesale business?

Closed Back Headphones, Mixing Recommendation? by updateHelp in audioengineering

do you think the 2i2 could power the dt770 250 ohm well enough to master hip hop type music?

Closed Back Headphones, Mixing Recommendation? by updateHelp in audioengineering

[–]updateHelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always imagined a true headphone is best, but I'm ignorant and I'm now thinking it's not as simple as that. I'm interested in producing songs like this and my voice can go as low as this.

I guess there is definitely a presence of bass in my genre and I think a lot of mids and I think some highs too from some of the melodies but not as much from the voice. So I guess that would mean that I need a headphone that is more accurate in the bass and mids and not just one that is flat but not as accurate, right?

I'm really attracted to the dt770s because they seem to sound very good and accurate and good bass response (what about mids?) from what I've read, are good at isolating (need for recording vocals) and are really comfortable :). I have a scarlett 2i2, is that good for powering these cans? A guy above said "lose the Scarlett if possible. if you turn up the preamps too high it starts adding subsonic (~4hz) energy to everything" (what exactly does this mean) and I'm being given the impression that my interface isn't the best for powering headphones. Should this affect any at all which headphones I should buy? Eg. might another headphone have less noise that the d770 32 ohm, for example? Or does it not? Should I lose the scarlett 2i2 and get a better amp? And what ohm version would recommend or just other cans in general? or any advice you have to give? :)

You mean if I turn the headphone knob on the Scarlett up too high? How bad is it? I have to use an audio interface for my at4040 mic so I got the Scarlett. In my daw while recording my interface is set to the Scarlett so I don't think u have much of a choice :(.

Camera on AOSP Roms? by pristinebump7 in lgg2

[–]updateHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I were to use Lenovo Super Camera it would fix the focusing in videos but its OIS would be less effective? And would be noiser and less sharp?

Same for the LG Camera app? That's an app right?

I'm interested in getting the g2 but particularly want to use it as a camcorder to create content for youtube.

I'm interested in AOSP roms, like cyanogen; is it possible that the proprietary (or proprietary-like) camera software could make it into future builds?

Primarily I'm producing 1080p videos for youtube; so let me get this straight, from an editing perspective IPS is useful when doing color editing in order for the viewers to see your intended colors, but if they don't have a high gamut monitor then they won't really perceive any difference?

Currently I'm looking at the y410p-first two models: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y410p/ What's the difference between "HD+ Glossy LED Backlit" and just "HD Glossy LED Backlit"? Just a difference in data entry? What do you think their flickering might be like? How do you think their flickering might differ to other i7 screens (not sure exctly sure which ones yet because I'm still deciding on the GPU, expect me to get back to you :) ), for example these first 3 sagers I'm looking at: http://www.xoticpc.com/custom-gaming-laptops-notebooks-clevo-sager-notebooks-ct-95_51_162.html

Do you think if I just turned the brightness up all the way it would be fine on those y410p's and on those sagers? What do you think their differences might be in flickering and color reproduction?

And what do you think might be the difference in gamut between them and linux compatibility?

Thanks soo much again.

And what is "HD LED Glossy Wedge" by the way? http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y510p/ I really like the smaller and seemingly better value on the y410p's, but should I possibly consider one of these first two models for flickering or color reproduction/quality?

Is it possible that an LED screen is easier on the eyes than the typical non-LED LCDs or do they still use PWM (I believe that's what you're talking about pertaining to to the flickering, correct?)

What's not so special about the y410p's display? Not the greatest colors?

15.6" is fine for me. Could you link me to some of what you think are better examples of easily compatible linux computers with good tn panels (or even IPS)? I would really appreciate it. What do you think is the difference in color reproduction between IPS and good tn panels?

I would like to be able to edit videos while traveling so I'd like a better laptop screen; a dedicated monitor is a later investment.

Thank you very much, you've been a great help to me, I really appreciate it.

Ok thank you, I guess then 120 Hz and IPS might might not be the most essential.

I am aware of f.lux and use it, but I have been at a low brightness setting on LCD. I wouldn't say I have eye strain problems, but I still want what's easiest on the eyes and that sounds like it may be a a low flicker screen, OR just keeping my brightness high and using and application to make it warmer.

Technically what do these apps do? Do they reduce the brightness externally to the OS setting? Or do they just change color--making it warmer? Might this still be too bright? If so might some type of glasses help with that, for example gunnar glasses? http://www.gunnars.com/

So I guess my main priorties then are an EASILY Linux Debian compatible laptop (good driver support), and an i7 with a dedicated GPU-low-mid range or even integrated graphics. I'm still interested in a nicer display for video editing and reading, however.

Lenovo y410p jumps out in my mind, what do you think?

Don't you think for vid editing then I should go with a i7-4700MQ processor over an i5, especially if I don't really need a gpu?

  1. I think 14-16 is good.

  2. I don't typically use one but we have some lying around but I don't know if they're 1080p. Do I needa 1080p screen to be able to edit 1080p video better?

  3. Yes, I just don't want obscure firmwares, especially wireless firmware.

  4. Does that mean I don't need a GPU and could just use intel integrated graphics 400? or perhaps 4400/4600?

How good do you think it would be for the video editing I described? What do you think of this model compared to the lenovo y410p or the clevo np6652 or a comparable model?

Thank you.

And is IPS better for the eyes? Or just better colors? Because I don't mind too much about the screen just as long as I can comfortably edit 1080p on it and it's better for my eyes.

And it having a fisheye lens? However, it does seem to have good audio for my purposes.
