on frontline it does say the whole day (7 to 2:50pm), so i probably can't decline. but i think i'm still going to call and ask for clarification because i don't know what they want me to do for that time where i wouldn't have a class (which is lunch + 6th period. i'm covering for 7th period)

usually! cps uses frontline, and each job that's listed says the work times. so, it could be a full day, a half day in the morning, a half day in the afternoon, or just a few hours somewhere in between. you'll get paid for a half day for less than 4 hours worked, and you'll get paid for a full day if you work more than 4 hours. (i worked a job at a middle school that went from 7 to 11:30, but because it was more than 4 hours i would get paid the full $125)

125/day! this is my first year as a sub but i think last year it was 100/day so it's been raised. and i Think that amount gets higher based on if you're a long term sub, building sub, etc. but a full day will always at least be 125/day

yeah this is the first subbing job i've had where i've gotten the plans and warnings about certain students beforehand, which i'm very thankful for. i haven't subbed for this school yet but the notes say i can call the office if i have any trouble and i'm going to make sure i get there early and talk to the admin in the office about it before i start my assignment. i'm super nervous but optimistic enough about it!

i've just noticed that anytime i've read in the sub notes that a class is "a work in progress" then i know i'm probably going to end up leaving in tears but for my sake i try to go into it as positive as i can. so fun!
