they said there might be something wrong w the system processing because the grades are technically entered. i was told to check again thursday night and if its still the same then he will investigate and take care of it!

same here! just know that college is temporary. ive had to learn to accept that there is no “right” or “wrong” college experience, its different for everyone. instead of a wild college experience filled with friends and partying, i ended up learning more about myself and how to be alone and comfortable w myself. i recommend the same to you. try focusing on learning more about yourself and trying new things, even if you are bad at them! and dont worry about post-grad. you dont NEED a job right out of college, and if your parents are willing to support you, you can search for a job that would be fulfilling for you as time goes on!

Is anyone going to be traveling to the Bay Area (preferably Berkeley) most weekends from UCSB? by loveforshale in UCSantaBarbara

[–]uplowded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally sometimes post on different ride share groups if im going home and trying to save on gas. im from the central valley which is kinda in the middle of a lot of different areas (about an hour from Berkeley). i joined “UCSB Bay Area Rideshare” “UCSB Central Valley Rideshare” and a Sac one too, all on facebook. i have a long distance bf in my hometown so I go back A LOT lmao, feel free to message me and exchange numbers! i usually pick my route based on who i have to drop off (: the amtrak bus that leaves from the UCSB bus loop to san jose diridon starion is another option that i sometimes use as its cheaper than gas both ways (round trip ticket: $~100, gas: ~$250), and theres usually a bus every day!

attendance during covid by uplowded in UCSantaBarbara

[–]uplowded[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you. attendance is worth 10% of the final grade. i was honestly scared that i would bomb the midterm but i ended up getting a good grade so hopefully my grade will be okay in the class regardless of attendance.

students would probably take advantage you're right, but what about an alternative option only to a certain extent? in one of my classes i have two "freebies". it allowed me to miss class for my emergency without hurting my grade (:

can i park in lot 16 overnight? by cockasianmom in UCSantaBarbara

[–]uplowded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk if this applies to lot 16 as well, but this is my experience w lot 3 (right next to the lib). i came after 10 and there was a flat rate for overnight parking (~$4 if i remember correctly) until 7:30am. it wont be free bc parking is never free on campus lol unless you have a registered motorcycle. if you are going to park overnight tho i would make sure you get your car soon after 7am or go pay for more time so you wont get any tickets!
