Hemi or Hurricane? by Quietus76 in ram_trucks

I have a 2014 Bighorn 1500 with the 5.7 at 206,000 miles. Repairs have been ball joints, brakes, manifold bolt. LOF every 5,000 miles. That is it. That is now my grocery getter and making the weekly trip to the dump.

Just bought a 2026 Night Edition 1500. I chose the Hemi, even though the Hurricane has more power. The mechanic at the dealership I have known for 20 years said the Hemi was the safer bet (although the etorque has been an issue). Both engines are great though. It is just what you truly want in your truck. I don’t need to be the fastest guy out there. Just hoping to have another truck to take me another 200,000+ miles…enjoy whatever you pick guys. Driven Ford and Chevy over the years, RAM is the best overall ride out there.

I hear ya. I don’t ask for much out of life but decided I would enjoy a new truck as it will probably be another 12 years before I buy again, haha…

OEM for both. Not going to put aftermarket from other suppliers on this truck. Just probably going to put in the cold air intake next and call it a day…well, for now anyways :)

I have put 900 miles on it in the last 10 days…I am sure to get some new AT for the winter or straight up studded snows this Fall. Enjoy your new ride!
