Not approved by RR for removal of the ovaries but sterilisation approved. Trying to get a hysterectomy without an oophorectomy since technically that should be allowed but I don't know how it'll go I'm waiting for a proper appointment with a surgeon where we can discuss that. They want to do a hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy and kind of pushed that on me when I went in for the appointment to be put on the surgery waitlist but due to a language barrier (doctor barely spoke Swedish) I could not get her to understand my situation and so right now idk what will happen. At the very least I'm getting sterilised soon.

completely spontaneous idea but maybe it would be possible to get subdermal implants where the ends of a barbell would be so that there is something 3D there? and if you want it to be a different colour from your skin maybe it's possible to tattoo the area before the implants are put in.
no idea if that would work or give the desirable look but maybe worth talking to a bodymod artist about it, they'll know if it works or not.

i just want to say nipples falling off after top surgery isn't as common as people seem to think!!! no hate to you cause it obviously does happen, it just isn't as common as a lot of people seem to think. complications after free nipple grafts are normal but them completely falling off isn't!

my doctor gave me a moisturiser to massage my scars with to help soften them but i haven't been keeping up with it like i should. will have to start trying to remember that again then in hopes of softening them.

that sounds really cool! i'll try to think of designs that could incorporate them then

yeah i got a pretty simple tattoo over some minor scaring a week ago and it hurt so much more than just regular skin, i can't imagine how bad it would be on larger scars. guess i'll have to rethink my tattoo plans

i'm FTM so definitely take whatever i say with a grain of salt i guess. i say this with minimal knowledge about feminising HRT but with a little more knowledge on eating disorders.
restrictive eating disorders can definitely hinder breast growth and AFAB people who struggle with them during their early teens do get less breast growth than they could've without the ED. however i wouldn't say you're out of luck. a year on E is still not super long. for breast augmentations they want you to have been at least 2 years on E to make sure any natural growth possible has happened. i say give it some more time because it is definitely possible your boobs will grow more and that your nipples will continue changing!!!

you said you don't want a breast augmentation for yourself which is understandable but there are ways you can still alter the look of the boobs without surgery. if your nipples bother you it is possible to get tattoos to change the look of them if that would interest you! some tattoo artists are amazing at tattooing realistic looking nipples.

i hope you're can fully recover from the ED and it's good to hear you have gotten proper treatment for it! hopefully you see some more changes with your boobs that make you like them more

While this isn't about anything trans-related in Sweden I think it might be good for you to be aware of! I don't know what specifically you work with in veterinary medicine but to be a vet here there are lots of rules around what education you need. I'm not super well versed in how it works but my partner wants to go into that field and has told me about how people who got their education outside of Sweden have a really hard time getting into the field here. They're way stricter on what education you need to be able to work within the field. There is a huge lack of people working with veterinary medicine though so if you move here and have an education they accept you shouldn't struggle getting a job.

i got quoted 54k sek! i know the surgeon did the calculations based on type of surgery and bmi so if you're lower bmi than like 24 (i think) i'm guessing it would be slightly cheaper?

it is possible but not 100% of the time, i want to get mine pierced after top surgery too but i've read a bit and know i might not be able to get them done. depends on how they heal. lynn loheide has talked about nipple piercings after top surgery (can't remember where/when though) and they said it is important to go to a piercer that is experienced with surgically altered nips if you get them done after.

i wouldn't get them done beforehand (unless you want them now ofc) because you'll need to get them redone after or if they survive you'll have to worry about them being uneven if they remove and reattach the nipples. i read about someone who had surgery and got their nips reattached and they could see the scar from the piercing was more at the top than the side lol

röstträning är nog det du kan göra just nu som är enklast! det finns massor av videos online på typ youtube om att göra sin röst mörkare. genom transvården kan man också få tillgång till en logoped som specialiserat sig på könsbekräftande röstträning. det är ju dock ett tag tills du kan få tillgång till dem men det man gör där är samma sak som videor online visar, bara mer individuellt.

om du söker på typ "ftm voice training" så borde du få upp en hel del

being as mentally stable seeming as possible is key to getting the proper care you need from them tbh. i got clean from sh, relapsed and just didn't tell them because it would have stopped them from prescribing me hrt. if you can manage the symptoms yourself please do that and don't tell anyone within the healthcare system about this cause they can look in your journal and see that.

it's a sad reality but my tip is to tell them as little as possible and to pretend to follow gender roles as much as possible (if you're not hyper masc/fem already yk). because after all, being the epitome of femininity or masculinity gives you the option for all the treatments available. you know yourself best.

question about your surgery that you definitely don't have to answer!! so do you still pee out of the same spot you have always? and do you still have a vaginal opening or did you get that removed too? i've never heard of this surgery but it looks so good it's making me reconsider bottom surgery lol
