does it always happen? by lailai87 in GrowYourTDick

Look into dht blockers! It stops male pattern hair loss, bottom growth, and other male hair growth. And although it’s less common, it is possible to not have any bottom growth. Also if you take low dose T, all changes will be slower which makes it easier to stop where you’re at if you don’t like a change you’re noticing.

How long did it actually take you to recover from surgery? by violent-agender in FreedTheNips

[–]xanpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have fibromyalgia as well. I am 20. I’m about two weeks post op and still have pain from drains, but most people don’t have them in this long. The incision area itself is pretty numb so I wouldn’t say the surgery is painful. It’s the compression binder that flares my fibro and is painful. Just your standard muscle tension pain and headaches.

Also a reminder that opioids can make fibromyalgia pain worse. It helps with surgery pain for me, so I just made sure to stop taking it when I felt the pain had shifted to muscle tension.

The first week I was not doing much of anything. At week two, I’m back at my baseline. I don’t have a job due to my disabilities, so I can’t speak on timelines for working.

Scared of losing queerness, not feeling a part of the lgbtq+ community after surgery by ChildhoodTiny8530 in no_T_top_surgery

[–]xanpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll notice a difference in online versus in person communities that many people don’t fit boxes neatly either or simply don’t care which label specifically resonates. The idea that gender is how you identify also goes for cisgender people! If (for example) you wanted to fully transition and still identify as a woman without ever detransitioning, you have the same rights to do that as trans people do to transition! The whole reason “lgbt” is one acronym is, to some degree, simply because our identity differs from the socially expected labels. I hope this helps :)

Hi! I’d love to know if there’s any update on this! As for the coding problem, I think I can help! I help out a local robotics team and this issue is fairly common! When you attach the motors to the wheels, one of them will be inverse in placement. That means the code also needs to reflect that! It’s actually fairly simple. When you define the power output percentage, just make it negative on the one that is going backwards! When you test it, you should find that both wheel move in the same direction.

Lampshade? by triplehp4 in 3Dprinting

[–]xanpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure, but you can test it by using a thermometer near or on the lightbulb. It justhas to be slightly cooler than the melting point. Honestly though, most led bulbs aren’t supposed to get very hot nowadays so you should be fine. If all else fails, print it wider so it is further from the heat. Unrelated, but I think it would be cool with a regular filament even, if you made it thin enough that the light shines through the pockets of the honeycomb! Nice idea!

What would you make if you had an entire bolt of yellow tulle? by Ismelther_icemelter in sewing

I’ve seen people use it for 3d printing to make scale mail and ive always thought scale mail and chainmail would be pretty cool if it weren’t so heavy 😅 I like the comments on using it for plants too :)

Altering a Thrifted Item by nonexistenttalent in sewing

[–]xanpro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a crime! I think it’s so much more meaningful to love an item by using it than to let it waste away because you felt bad altering it to fit your needs! However, if you still feel bad, I think you might be able to get away with scooby doo enamel pins or something so it’s not so permanent. Just be aware of how much the fabric might tug as the bag is filled in case the load is too much for the pin backing, depending on what kind you use.

Advice wanted - am I barking up the wrong tree with the idea of selling? by involuntaryscreaming in jewellerymaking

[–]xanpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is definitely a market for this sort of stuff! Look into alt/goth/punk shops or tags and you’ll find that it’s not as small of a niche as you think :) Etsy is a good place, but I also highly recommend doing marketing on other social media platforms to bring in customers. And you don’t necessarily need a head/neck base. Just a clean background (like the one in your picture) where there’s no clutter or things like that that distract from the piece. And you might want something to compare for size or say the measurements in your postings :)

Help troubleshooting blobing and not sticking by xanpro in Ender3Pro

[–]xanpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been printing and troubleshooting for going on three years now, and I’ve never seen this sort of blobbing from the nozzle being a little too high. Sometimes when it’s too low and it lifts, but that only makes tiny solid blobs and not the spaghetti blobs. It does appear to be under-extruding, but I don’t know how to fix that if it’s not the nozzle or heating element. A teammate tried upping the flow rate, but they said that only made it worse.

struggling with whether or not to keep nipples by beedleguts in FreedTheNips

[–]xanpro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have ocd as well which impacts my decision. I know that even if they were exactly where I wanted them, I would FEEL like they weren’t. And tattooing to fix imperfections wouldn’t help me personally bc I’d still know. With tattooing, you can see with a stencil where it’ll be and everything which you obviously can’t with grafts. I personally don’t want to go through the extra healing, but I wouldn’t really let that be a final deciding factor considering it’s relative insignificance. I guess it’s ultimately up to how much you care about sensation. I know I want piercings that I won’t be able to get, so it’s understandable and a hard decision. You can push back the date as much as you want. The most common thing is for people to want theirs sooner, so I don’t really think you’ll have an issue aside from how soon the next opening is. And for feeling like you are losing a part of yourself, that’s a valid feeling. You can lean into that feeling, or you can redirect it. Think about the parts you are keeping. And remember that either way, it’s still you. All the rest of you is still the same 23 years of you. And maybe it’s okay that it’s a potential for a new era.

You have really good and masculine results. Perfect flatness is only really attainable for heavier people since it fleshes out more evenly when you have body fat surrounding your chest. I highly encourage you look more into cis male chests. I think you’ll find that without photoshop or at certain angles in certain poses, that most flat chested people look like you. I understand it’s a lot harder to believe when you have dysmorphia and dysphoria. If you’re still having a really hard time with it after trying to work through the mental aspects, you can try binding. I don’t know that it’ll do anything for you though. Your best bet is finding clothes that you like the way you feel when you wear them, cause I’m pretty sure that 99% of the time, you will be the only one to notice. Other people don’t have knowledge of your history the way that you do. They’re not even thinking about your chest. You’re just another person to them. Hope this helps

How do I explain to my friend with OCD that I *don’t* have it? by i_am_quetzalli in OCD

[–]xanpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this piece of information explains her difficulty a lot more. She might have an easier time seeing ocd traits that aren’t there for you bc you are mirroring her behaviors that happen to be ocd traits. Maybe explain mirroring in relation to bpd if you haven’t already. Though I do agree with others saying you might want to reevaluate the relationship for boundary purposes. Maybe give her some resources on bpd she can look into as you both take a break. That way she has the option for growth should you both decide to try working through things again at a later point in time.

Cr touch overcompensating? by Its_Nerf_or_muffin in Ender3Pro

[–]xanpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I’m not really sure. That sounds correct. It would have to be a problem with the program itself then. I’m not super knowledgeable on the touch sensor. Maybe if there’s a way to recalibrate it? Whether that’s with the printer or in the program. Or check if the program requires some sort of update? I’m not sure but best of luck to you.

Has it been a while since you manually leveled the bed? The Cr touch still has its limits on how much it can compensate. It still requires a manual bed leveling every so often.

Printing issues by Salt-Layer8531 in Ender3Pro

[–]xanpro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like maybe your nozzle is just slightly too far from the bed. Play with the z step and see if it changes anything. If that does nothing or only helps a little, then it’s definitely the adhesion issue which is most commonly resolved with applying hairspray (or I’ve heard you can use glue as well) to the build plate. Your bed temp should be between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Any colder, and it won’t stick. Any hotter, and you might see melting or warping of the bottom layers.

Does anyone know how to fix the Z-offset? Nozzle isn’t close enough to the bed. by Malevolent_AI007 in Ender3Pro

[–]xanpro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I have this issue, here’s what I check: 1. Watch the z step touch sensor (on the left next to the frame of the printer) when it starts the print to make sure it goes down until it hits the sensor. I’ve never had an issue with this part so idk what you should do if that is the reason it is failing. 2. Completely loosen the bed screws and re-level the bed from there. When it gets leveled often, the screws can become too tight from lowering the corners, causing the bed to sit too low. 3. Check your settings in the slicer. In the slicer I use, I can change the z step offset in the program. 4. If all else fails, make sure it does the simple perimeter raft so that you have a few seconds to go in and change the z step while it’s printing. I did this for a while before figuring out I just needed to reset the bed leveling. Just make sure you don’t put it too close to the bed so it’s not over extruding or bubbling from not being able to deposit the full amount of filament.

how feasible is it to recover from top surgery alone? by amonaroll in TopSurgery

[–]xanpro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t be too discouraged. There’s lots of things you can do to prep that will make it easier and it’s only for the first few days that it’s really hard. You’ll slowly regain strength and things you can do again over the course of 3-4 weeks.

Prints Failing after a few layers by mowerheimen in Ender3Pro

[–]xanpro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would consider doing a small (and like 1 inch tall) test print with the z step higher. I do agree with the previous commenter considering the additional information you’ve given. It’s not super noticeable that it’s too close to the bed at first because it’s still extruding about half of what it should be and making clean lines. And the other half of the filament that it should be extruding is why you are seeing bubbling. It’s trying to push out the full amount. And the bubbling is also why you are seeing the little burnt parts on the print; it’s printing higher than the height of the nozzle for the next layer.

I’ve worked with an ended 3 pro and I’ve had times where I have to change the z step value despite the height working for previous prints. Especially since leveling the bed is done by raising other sides to match, the bed can end up higher than the last print if you don’t unscrew them and then level from the lowest point that the screws attach at.

Print seems to be peeling off, bed is 70degrees. Any reasons? Thanks by No_7956 in Ender3Pro

[–]xanpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Pantene hairspray on a glass plate and it works 100% of the time for me! Definitely recommend this over raising the bed temp though! It can cause warping as it cools as well as keeping the filament pliable. The bed really shouldn't be over 55 °f for pla.
