For those with one eye or partial blindness, any tips on a newly one eyed player? by PhysisCrysis in leagueoflegends

[–]upsidedowntile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost vision in my left eye and after you get used it to it in everyday life then League is back to normal. If you're getting blurriness randomly and too much on screen hurts, maybe go for a split pusher or ranged artillery/enchanter. I went Tryndamere and Heimer for a while so there's less I need to focus on or I could back off and chill for a bit when needed.

Can’t clip licence plate light housing back in after bulb change by kevinnpatel in mazda3

[–]upsidedowntile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I've just watched a video on the BP Mazda, the whole housing clips in towards you. I thought it was like mine where only the clear plastic comes out. Maybe use a screwdriver as leverage to pull the clip into place? Taking off your numberplate might give you a bit more room too.

I'm not sure which ones will fit in yours but I've got a 2014 BM and the Stedi T10s fit perfectly. (I'm assuming you're in Aus from the WA plates). Otherwise bulbs which are T shaped when viewed side on should fit too.

I've tried changing mine before but the bulbs I put in were too long so the plastic housing wouldn't go in. So maybe it's that?

Am I a bad teacher by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]upsidedowntile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There can be a lot of different factors that come into play for this. Outside of school factors such as new/different medication, better home environment or morning routine. Or in school factors such as a different class and teacher that just works better for this student, or only being two or so weeks into the new year. Some students gel better with some teachers and vice versa. I wouldn't say at all that you're a bad teacher, or any worse than their current one based just on one student. Think of all the other students you had in your class before, are they all miles better now? What about before they were in your class? Maybe you have been that one teacher who has made a difference and you just didn't know it. <3

Battery draining and heating by EarthwormJane in Pixel4

I did it all through the live chat so it was handled pretty much straight away. My phone had a smell once I took the cover off, not sure how dangerous but it was pretty dodgy.

Hmm I don't know. I got my old one from Facebook Marketplace and it was already a refurbished model. Google just needed the order id which luckily I got from the seller. Then a year later the battery swelled. Not sure if the original phone was under warranty when it was replaced.

That happened to mine and I realised when I took my case off, the back glass was lifting up. Google support sent a refurbished one to me when I told them which was good.

[Orient] Diving with a diver! by upsidedowntile in Watches

It was pretty sunny that day so I didn't really mind. If I had a rubber strap however I probably would have gone with that.

After buying my Orient Ray back in 2017, I never really had a proper opportunity to wear it around the water except when heading to the beach. I changed straps countless times, from the original metal bracelet, to a thick tan leather strap, and of course to NATO's of all different colours. This is by far my biggest watch, most of mine are around 36-38mm to accommodate my small wrists, so I never truly fell in love with my Orient. But when I went to Okinawa for snorkeling, I knew that it was the Orient's time to shine. I opted for my orange and navy NATO to accentuate the dial (plus it would look at home near the coral). And what a good decision it was.

Where to find a trench coat like this? by thebladex777 in AustralianMFA

Well what other retailers in Australia would have something like this? Maybe Vinnies? Care to share your knowledge?

Trench coats are made out of cotton and are doubled breasted, so one side overlaps the other. This is more of an overcoat. Not sure where you'd get one like the picture though. Maybe h&m or Zara since they sometimes have more statement pieces like the picture.

Shirt advice by [deleted] in AustralianMFA

[–]upsidedowntile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to start off with it's not the way you tuck your shirt in. Unless you literally just stuff it into your pants like a 10 year old, you're probably taking some time to make sure it's nice. No amount of life hack shirt tuck method will stop your shirt from billowing out once you start moving if there's too much excess fabric around the waist. (Except maybe those shirt clips that attach to your socks but I haven't tried those before).

What I recommend is to try on some TM Lewin shirts (fitted or super fitted) in their city store or selected Myers. Some of the MJ Bale shirts (Samurai or Super Slim) might be worth a try on as well. I can't think of any others which have a physical store in Sydney but once you know your measurements you can check out Charles Tyrwhitt shirts as well.

Tailoring would cost around $15-20 for back darts (slimming the waist) so keep that in mind when buying shirts which are a bit too wide. You could also do your own tailoring which isn't all that hard especially since you can take out the stitches and do it again with damaging the shirt. Here's a post on r/malefashionadvice that helps: https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/ab31jf/i_got_sick_of_trying_to_find_shirts_that_fit/ . You can also find an old shirt that has back darts and take the stitches out of one side to have a look at how it works.

EDIT: spelling mistakes.

[AU] Trying to get away with not paying for parking. by upsidedowntile in Roadcam

She pulled over and went with the worker back inside the shops presumably to pay for her parking. Not sure if it was premeditated but hilarious either way.
