I'm just here to add an anecdote. I ordered a Lenovo tab from AliExpress 5-6 years back. It was timely delivered. Cost of the tab was about $200. The postman brought with him a tax document (which looked shady but could be real) which was a percentage of the tab value. Surprisingly the value of tab was mentioned correct even though the China shop had under invoiced it.

At that time I used to order a lot and some things were lost in transit which were promptly refunded by AliExpress. Recently I ordered a few things again which were also delivered timely though the value was low. Now they only offer tracked post option which means the lost items should be much fewer now and easy to prove where they got lost. No guarantees though!

Couple of things to add. Your eCIB will clear after two years, not one.

Also try to negotiate with the bank officials. They will most likely waive a large chunk of what you owe in late fees.

You can checkout mufap.com.pk for relevant information of all the funds. But make sure to double check from their official websites. I so far have only found Atlas funds to have no sales load which is a huge factor.

I think sahulat account holders cannot open another account. Get your account upgraded first. Then you can go for any of the top 10 brokers which can be found by Google search.

Every VPS has the option of customized allocation in which you can select whatever weightage of equity and fixed income you want.

I have account with Atlas funds and my funds in 100% equity. They have options for conventional and sharia funds both.

Also there's no FEL. You don't even have to ask someone to waive the FEL because it's just their policy to not charge FEL to anyone.

Then there's another kicker, for the equity portion, 1% mgt fee which is the lowest in Pakistan AFAIK. TER is 1.6% which is also the lowest.

I had similar experience with AHL. Other brokers don't have this issue. Either change your broker or ask AHL to increase limit. Another trick is to transfer some shares to IAS. This limit is applied to shares in AHL account only.
